gifts for baby 5 months image

My best friend turns 35 this year and is 5 months pregnant. What would you suggest we get her for a suitable birthday gift for HER and not baby?
Answer
Get her some elegant frames she can put photos of her child in. You can also stick to the Target/Khols gift certificates because she might need to buy a lot more things when the baby comes.
If you don't want to think about the pregnancy part of it, then just take her out to dinner. what is she into? does she like to cook? Does she like gadgets? Get her a digital photo key chain (I'm sure once she has the baby, she'll want to carry pics around) or a regular digital photo frame.
The most important thing to do is zone in on her interests and get her something that pertains to her favorite pasttime.
Good luck!

What are the things I should get for my baby when it comes, toy wise?

I know when its a newborn it wont much matter besides the mobile on the bassinet. And maybe something soft and nothing small. But when the baby reaches 2-5 months what should I have for the baby's entertainment? This would be my first baby and I am rather young and trying to figure it all out.
Answer
A play gym of some sort would be good - mine figured out how to use them about 5-6 weeks watching the toys and batting at them to make them move. some thing like this: http://www.target.com/p/Infantino-Twist-&-Fold-Gym----Neutra/-/A-11660845?reco=Rec_pdp_11660845_ClickCP_Adjacency
Toys the can hold easily that have texture or make some kind of noise when they move it. Like these: http://www.target.com/p/Sassy-Newborn-Gift-Set-Toys-for-0-Months/-/A-12905624
If you have the space and exersaucer is great. My kids started using one around 4 months and continued until they were cruising/walking Like: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=14978058&findingMethod=rr you can find them way cheaper than this one we got ours at a yard sale for $10
