What to gift,wear to batptism?

jessiehone

So my friend asked me to be the godmother of her son,and i am not sure what to get him? Her mother is getting his outfit,so i can't get that..And also what should i wear? It's the middle of summer i was thinking just nice dress pants and like a nice button up shirt. It's a lutheran baptism if that matters any.

Answer
You wear what you would normally wear to church; if you aren't a regular church goer wear what you would wear to an interview.

As to gifts, you could give a commemorative Bible where significant dates can be entered; a cross, a commemorative frame, a throw with baby's name and the baptism date embroidered on it, a bond or other money to plan for baby's earthly future.

What should I bring and wear to a Lutheran infant baptism?

Q. I'm a Baptist (northern), and the church I go to is very informal. We don't believe in infant baptisms, so I don't know what would be customary for me to wear or bring to one. I'd probably bring a teddy bear with a cross, or a book of bible stories, the problem is the family the baby is in isn't religious at all. They're just getting him baptized to please their parents. What would be a good present to bring? How nice should I dress? Can you explain a little about Lutheran's beliefs?

Answer
I don't know anything about Lutheran beliefs. But it would be courteous to dress nice, and bring a gift for the baby. A nice baby blanket is an appropriate gift and always appreciated. Or, you could open a savings account with some money in it for the child's college education.

To new moms--What is the best baby gift you received?

HBK

Answer
Pre-baby: a gift certificate for 3D ultrasound

Post-baby: it's a tie - my friends at church set up a rotating schedule to visit and brought over dinner (plus sides and dessert!) every other day for the first month so we didn't have to cook and could just enjoy our little one and my mom gave me a gift certificate for a housekeeeper so when I was receiving tons of guests after the baby was born I didn't have to worry about nagging my hubbie into doing the hard-core scrubbing (c-section)

Traditional baby gift: I got a beautiful Hooter Hider, which got a lot of use: I was able to socialize and didn't feel like I had to hide when my baby needed to feed (blankets were too warm for my spring/summer babies and always shifted), it also worked for cleaning up messes when we were out and I needed something, it was a blanket to lay my little one on when we were someplace I didn't feel was clean, and it made a great shade extender on the stroller. http://shop.bebeaulait.com/Hooter-Hiders-New

Baby Shower Moms to Be - Gifts - What would you rather?

J & R Sequ

Would you rather rec'v cash, gift card or baby clothes/diapers etc.
I had a few in the past and was happy with either. I rec'd was too many < 12 mos. clothing I didn't even get a chance to use. Way too many pacifiers and bibs too. It is a 40yr old first time mom, what would you suggest? I am way out in the country so limited to the stores, I have a grocery and a drug store.

Answer
With twins, I was thankful for whatever we received . . . even hand-me-downs! As to what was most useful, gift cards!!! The gift cards were great! The problem with cash is that it is so easy to blow it on something else - like groceries (I know you need them but it is not "really" for the baby as much) . . . the gift cards are great for the things that you did not receive at your shower, what you suddenly realize that you need etc . . .

Best wishes!

Speaking of Recalls, Did you know that Old Navy recalled several Baby items?

Q. They recalled most of the their stuffed animal toys that have rattles in them, due to the button eyes.

I bought the bunny online for Christmas for my baby since it matched a hat and onsie she had, and as soon as I got it I thought the buttons could cause a choking hazard, so I never really let her play with it (she was never fond of it anyway since it was too big for her tiny hands) Mainly it just sat in her car carrier next to her and she never even paid any attention to it and now today I just got an email about the recall that includes pictures and model numbers.

Just thought you guys may appreciate knowing this especially, if you shop at Old Navy.
Okay, let's try this again since the link did not work the first time:

Answer
Also just a reminder that magnets that can become dislodged and swallowed are very dangerous. I've been seeing a lot of toys with magnets just glued in (like letters for the fridge) at discount stores lately. Those aren't allowed anymore and certainly shouldn't be used around kids under 3.

What does the bible say about smoking marijuana?

Randyy

Did jesus used to smoke a blunt every now and then?

Answer
Is Marijuana Really That Bad? âSome say that using marijuana is a way to escape problems,â says Ellen, who lives in Ireland, âand that it doesnât have any bad side effects.â Have you heard similar statements about marijuana? Compare some common myths with the facts.

Myth. Marijuana is not harmful.

Fact. Known or suspected lasting effects of marijuana are as follows: damaged memory, impaired ability to learn, and suppressed immune system, as well as damage to the sexual health of both males and females. It can induce anxiety attacks, psychoses, and paranoia. Children born to women who smoke marijuana are more likely to have behavioral problems, be less attentive, and have greater difficulty making decisions.

Myth. Marijuana smoke is less harmful than cigarette smoke.

Fact. Compared with tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke can deposit four times as much tar on your airways and carry five times as much poisonous carbon monoxide into your blood. Smoking five marijuana joints can deliver the same amount of cancer-causing toxins as an entire pack of cigarettes.

Myth. Marijuana is not addictive.

Fact. Teens who have mental or emotional problems can quickly become addicted to marijuana. Others can become addicted after long-term use. In addition, studies show that teens who smoke marijuana have a much greater risk of using other addictive drugs, such as cocaine.

What does the bible say? To be completely honest with you, there is not a scripture in the bible that has a law set against smoking. The reason for this is because the majority of the bible, has you exercise and follow not laws, but primarily "principles."

Bible principles are fundamental truths. Laws, on the other hand, may be for specific circumstances. (Deuteronomy 22:8) We must use thinking ability to understand how a principle applies in a particular situation. (Proverbs 2:10-12) For example, the Bible teaches that life is a gift from God. That basic principle can guide us at work, at home, and while traveling. It leads us to take safety precautions.âRead Acts 17:28.

By using the scriptures that we know and understand, we can deduce an educated conclusion for ourselves. Here are some examples of medical facts of smoking and some scriptures that you can use to compare.

The probability that a long-term smoker will eventually be killed by tobacco is 1 in 2. The director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) stated: âA cigarette is . . . a cleverly crafted product that delivers just the right amount of nicotine to keep its user addicted for life before killing the person.â

Smoking tobacco endangers health and life. Smoking has been linked to more than 25 life-threatening diseases. It is, for example, a major contributor to heart attack, stroke, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and various cancers, especially lung cancer and is related to a greater risk of atherosclerosis and diabetes. That being so, smoking and high blood pressure are a dangerous combination that can lead to cardiovascular diseases.

How Smoking Affects Others: The Bible says: âYou must love your neighbor as yourself.â (Matthew 22:39) Love for your neighborsâand your family members are your closest neighborsâis a powerful reason to quit.
Smoking hurts others. Until recent times a smoker could light up just about anywhere and expect no objection. But attitudes are changing because more people understand the dangers of breathing in smoke that drifts from the cigarettes of others. For example, a nonsmoker who is married to a smoker has a 30-percent greater risk of developing lung cancer than if he or she were married to a nonsmoker. Children who live with parents who smoke are more likely to develop pneumonia or bronchitis in the first two years of life than are children who live in homes where no one smokes.
Pregnant women who smoke endanger their unborn babies. Nicotine, carbon monoxide, and other dangerous chemicals contained in cigarette smoke enter the motherâs bloodstream and pass directly to the child in the womb. The consequences include a greater likelihood of spontaneous abortion, stillbirth, and death among newborns. Moreover, the risk of sudden infant death syndrome is three times higher for babies whose mothers smoked during pregnancy.

2.Corinthians.7; 1 âTherefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse+ ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in Godâs fear.â

Romans 12:1â Consequently I entreat YOU by the compassions of God, brothers, to present YOUR bodies+ a sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with YOUR power of reason.â
Matthew 5:8 âHappy are the pure in heart, since they will see God.â

Cleanliness is a quality that belongs to and originated with the holy and clean God, Jehovah. He teaches us to benefit ourselves by becoming holy and clean in all our ways.âIsaiah 48:17; 1 Peter 1:15.

What is a good "dol" gift?

meb3031

My Korean-American friend invited me to his son's "dol," or first birthday party. The tradition is probably more important to his wife, who's actually from Korea, but I'd still like to bring something traditional if possible. I can't afford the gold rings they say is the dol tradition, but I'm open to slightly less expensive alternatives!

Answer
I'm not sure if there are any other traditional Korean alternatives but I'm sure most Korean-Americans don't mind the traditional American baby gifts. I've given booties, baby clothes, blankets that have been happily received. It's really the sentiment that matters.

What are good presents for the 1st year birthday?

sgrag3003

I'm going to my friend's child's 1st year birthday party. What would be a good gift?
The Korean's first birthday is very important. Some people give money in a white envelope (how much?) and others give presents (what?).

Answer
I suggest baby pajamas (ì기 ah-gi ë´ë³µ neh-bok) or baby clothes. My mother has been giving many nehboks as gifts to Korean children's first year birthdays. She would buy from twelve months to twenty-four months, so the child can wear them as he or she gets a little bigger. Clothings are more popular these days. I've heard conversations between my mother and her friends on how nehboks are better and more useful than giving toys.

What is a good christening gift for a baby boy?

kristinaan

Any suggestions? I've thought about the Precious Moments figurines and that's my last resort but I feel like I can find something better and not so generic as a lot of other things out there.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Answer
I think a gift of baby silver is appropriate for the occasion - this can include a rattle, a spoon, a cross, etc. Just make sure it is real sterling silver and not silver-plate. It is an elegant and timeless gift.

Christening gift ideas for a boy?

apple

My friends are having their 1 year old boy christened soon, and I want to get a gift. However, they are flying in from a foreign country (where they now live) and so it can't be big or heavy. Also, I don't want to get some lame, useless silver spoon or whatever. They're pretty good friends of mine, so it will have to be something nice & memorable! Any ideas for something interesting or unusual?

Answer
You could get a nice baby Bible. My twins got one at their Christening and I read it to them often :) They also got a cross with their names engraved on them. I bought my daughter a cross necklace for when she gets older, and getting one for my son when I find one I like.

If you go to a Christain store, I'm sure you will find something or at least get more ideas

The best gift for a dieing mom?

o_olikeomg

The chemotherapy did not work as I suspected. I never heard of anyone surviving chemotherapy induced leukemia. My mom's blast is 70% at the time now. She is now taking chemotherapy pills. I dont know why they giving her those after telling her that they cant cure her. And if those did not work she has only up to january or february to live. Best gift idea for her maybe last christmas.

Answer
No gift is required for a dieing mom. What you can possibly give is your LOVE and ATTENTION towards her and PRAYER for her recovery if possible or to have a peaceful end.

I am extreamely sorry to hear the condition of your Mom and also to write like this. I feel these are the only things left. We will also pray for her. -

What's the perfect baby gift!?

My mom is expecting a baby at the end of July, and I need some good ideas for a baby/mom gift that I can give. My parents had children really young, and then they divorced in my teenage years. So now that she is remarried, her new husband wanted children.

I'm just looking for some good ideas for a gift. No too expensive(I'm 22 in college :) Not really rolling in the dough yet)

Answer
From experience, the best "gift" you could give is your service as a baby sitter so your mum and her partner could have some time to themselves!! Trust me, they will value it more than any item of clothing or keepsake.

Any good online stores with baby clothes that are at a decent price?

MommyTo

I am having a baby girl and am just looking for clothes that would be cute to look at and maybe buy if they are a decent price. Any good places?

Answer
At amazon they always have good bargains and cute stuff and also good brands. Check their sales & deals section, too! Often the clothing has been reviewed by other mums and you can see what they think about the clothes which usually is a great help.
Join a mummy/baby shopping club like zulily.com and totsy.com, they constantly offer great brands at reduced prices (up to 70%). Joining is for free and you'll get a daily newsletter with their current offerings (they do have shoes, toys, nursery accessories, etc., too).
Check out gap.com, oldnavy.com, childrensplace.com, etc. and buy from their sale items - even if they are not for the current season. For a baby it is relatively easy to figure out which size will fit next summer / winter and you can make some real bargain buys if you buy 'anti-seasonal' at their summer / winter sale.
For full details check out my website on money saving tips and inexpensive baby clothes. The website is on baby gifts but I also cover these topics:

Happy shopping!

Supernatural gift heredity!!!?

Q. ok i know this may sound wierd but i think i inherided (sp?) from my mother! when my grandma died wierd things start happening!heres the story:
my grandma was in the hospital and we had just got a call that she just had a stroke or something like that in miami (i live in florida and my cousins live in miami) before the call the closet shelf in my sisters room fell in the middle of the night too. she we packed up in drived to miami.on the way there our car broke down.my mom complained that whenever she looked at her phone it was always 2:11 or 3:11 or 4:11 something 11.when we got there it was already to late. ( really sad too it was a few hours after my birthday too) anyway thats some evidence of why i think this supernatural heredity to be true.my mom also told a story of when in the middle of the night that the vacuum cleaner turned on and it wasnt plugged in anywhere (this was when i wasnt born yet and mom was pregnant with my older sister) the next day she found out that the women that came to her house to help her clean died.next is that my older sister (my family is of 6 i have a mom dad and 3 sister 1 older than me and 2 younger than me ( the younger ones are SO annoying))my older sister always complained that she saw ghosts sense she was around my age 13.she told me of the bold kid up on the roof , a white dog jumping over a large tree , and a little boy watching her in the girls bathroom (this was when the lights went off at her school and she used her phone light ) anyway she bought a ouija board which i used a couple of times and nothing happened (my dad dosnt know and he HATES magical stuff like that) so my mom and my older sister show some type of connection to the spirit realm and im the next oldest women and the house who is 13 and i havent experienced anything unusual. except the times when my tv and fan lamp does a cracking sound when i sleep at night and the times when i went into my sleep paralysis modes (which im used too and not afraid of) oh and that time last night when i smelled paint in my room and i dont paint ( just to let you know a man died in my house i think it ws from old age) well my mom comes from the filopines if that gives any info. well additional notes about me is that i dont have many friends and the ones i do ignore me in the group.im like an outcast in the school and i dont mind.sometimes i feel this rush inside my veins like an animals and i do this wierd thing with my hands that looks like im trying to drag my nails into the table.plus i was thinking of going wiccan and i mediated 2 times in my life and im still trying to continue.i also wrote a poem of angels emotions which is one of my first poems and i just love the dark angels creed too! i LOVE studying parapsychology online.
i forgot to say that i get a little feeling that im an empath because when my friend said she was nervous to sing in front of people i started getting butterflies in my stomache too (i actually hated this girl cause she hitted me a lot in the past) but empaths dont feel a persons smotions AFTER a peron tells them of their emotion thats kinda like a empath in REVERSE and i dont know if this means anyting but my cousin from my dads side( we are connected with my dad and her mom) my cousins eyes change color (its so FREAKY) also my cousin was born a month and a day before me in the same year too.i also heard (eavedropped) my aunt say to my uncle that a baby was born on my grandmas birthday before she died and i was thinking why is my aunt telling uncle this if the baby isnt related to us so i guess the baby IS related to me somehow. GOMENASAI! that took so long and because i said gomenasai from the japanese culture is because im an otaku obsessed with manga and anime :)
i would kindly appreciate it if you guys gave serious answers this really means a lot to me because this is my chance to truly understand parapsychology

Answer
"Going Wiccan?"-- is that anything like "Going Christian" or "Going Jewish?" Wicca is a religion... and I'm not even going to go there except to say that nothing you mentioned is really what makes someone Wiccan, so until you sort out and understand what you're already dealing with, don't go throwing a whole new big topic of a religion on top of it.

Also for now, try to stay away from things like ouija, dark/light angels, magic/spells, etc... deal with one major issue at a time. All of these are too big to throw them all on the table together and sort through them.

The first thing I think you should consider investigating is your natural intuitive abilities and potential.

It's really really hard to follow your post, but you mention a lot of things that are possibly psychic in nature. Which some of us don't believe is supernatural at all (how can anything exist outside of nature? It's actually just things in nature we haven't figured out).

Here's the thing if you want to study the paranormal-- you have to get pre-concieved notions out of your head and try to be objective. You have to be willing to admit that there are coincidences and there is imagnation that gets blown out of proportion.

There are ways to actually measure and experiment with psy abilities-- however, if a hyped- up imagination and a lot of superstitious ideas are part of it, it's not going to give you any real answers. Just more hype.

You have to approach it more like a scientific experiment-- you have to try to rule things out, even if it disappoints you that you discover something was misconstrued.

Parapsychology actually takes many years of study to really understand. Get some books and get reading; there is a whole lot to cover if you plan to ever really understand any of these things and put them into perspective. Look for articles to test and measure psychic abilities.

Avoid sites that jumble things, seem to act like everything you ever experience is probably some true supernatural phenomenon-- they just feed fantasies.

And meditation is an excellent way to develop mental discipline to control and improve psychic abilities-- but twice won't cut it; you need to get into a routine.

Need bargain baby shower favor ideas?

Q. I am doing favors for a shower of about 50 ladies. The baby boy's nursery is a bumblebee theme so I was thinking something along those lines. Plus there will be Jewish and Christian attendees (if that makes a difference)...if I can't do bees, I can at least do yellow and maybe black (like black ribbon or something)...I would really love links to sites with bargain things I can buy. I'm not opposed to making favors/putting them together myself. Thanks!
I'm working on game prizes too. Probably a bunch of bath n body works stuff. Should be nice!
Those bee cake pops r too cute to eat. I wish those would last forever lol
Ugh unfortunately good ideas but too expensive :(

Answer
i agree with the idea of burts bees products. i have never met anyone that does not like burts products. only thing is they can be expensive... maybe you can buy in bulk.

i changed my mind about my answer. if you are trying to do cheap, you should bake sugar cookies and frost them like this. http://ny-image3.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.83496803.jpg
that is super cute and cheap, and anyone im sure can do that cute little design. put them in a clear sylaphane bag, and tie with a black ribbon. then maybe make a cute little tag for it that says "thank you from the mommy to bee!"

i would get some cool burts bees product for the game gifts, and for the door prize instead of bath and body works( their prices are similar). that was a great idea!

this is cute too!

http://www.abcfavors.com/coolmamapopcornbaggiefavor.aspx
you sould do this pretty cheep too. use yellow bags with yellow and black ribbon on the label, "have you heard the buzz? _____________ is ready to pop!" put a cute picture of a little bee flying around on the tag. and the moms due date. you could do some with butter flavor popcorn, some with carmel corn, and some with the chocolate popcorn.

What to buy Adoptive Parents in the UK?

My friend and wife just adopted a baby girl and I would like to send a gift. They live in the UK and I live in the US. I thought that diapers would be best, but couldn't find any on Amazon UK. Is there another site I am not thinking of? Are there any better ideas for a gift?

Answer
A more normal gift would be baby clothing, or toys rather than diapers.
You can get plenty of baby clothes or toys from amazon uk

If you could travel back in time, what gift would you bring for the baby Jesus?

Q. I would bring microwave popcorn.

Answer
I would take him with me into the future to raise him as an ordinary child in our time, and the world would never know of Christianity.

This would be my gift to humanity...

BTW -- what good would microwave popcorn be to the baby Jesus, who would have neither a microwave oven to cook it in, nor electricity to power the oven even if he had one?!?!

Christmas and Baby Gift Ideas?!?

of Gol

My good friend Alesha is giving birth to her first child on December 20th, right in time for christmas and I really want to get her something special but I just don't know what. I haven't seen her in a few years because she joined the air force and is stationed in hawaii, while i'm in south carolina. I really want to give her something special. So i thought about sending her a care package with things for her baby (she is having a boy) and a video of me and our best friends together telling her how much we miss her. Do you think it's a good idea? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Answer

Christmas gift suggestions?

AJay

I have no clue what I'm giving my family for Christmas. NOBODY BETTER TELL ME TO MAKE THEM SOMETHING. IM TERRIBLE AT MAKING THINGS. So, now that that's over...but seriously, I'm not making them stuff so please don't say that. Here are my family member descriptions:
Mom-likes reading, teacher, likes sweets, loves cats, obsessed with bones tv show, likes Elvis. Likes breakfast at Tiffany's, loves gone with the wind and dirty dancing (the movie lol) she doesn't like when people giver her lotion/body wash/candles. Loves coffee
Dad: likes cars, likes rabbits, works from home, likes cooking/grilling, broke his baseball glove, but we barely ever throw the ball so not sure about that. Plus he'd have to go with me to pick it out...
Andrew: goes to MS state but doesn't really care for football/baseball, likes soccor, likes hackey-sacks, very outdoorsy (majoring in forestry), he's very practical despite being 21 years old,
John: goes to Southern Miss, but isnt into sports, likes video games and Magic card game, I'm disappointed at how little I know about him...
ANYWAYS, if an of yal have any gift ideas for any of my family PLEASE tell me. No answer is the wrong answer. :) please! I'm desperate!
I meant to put y'all, not yal....

Answer
For Mom: I'd suggest a gift card to Books a million or Barnes and noble. Also at Walmart they have 2013 calendars and there's an Elvis one and a cat one, so you could pick one of them to give her.
Dad: Um im not sure, we got my dad alot of tools and a pretty cool tool box for Christmas this year. And Giorgio Armani Cologne, that stuff smells amazing on dudes!
Andrew: a soccer ball maybe? Cant go wrong with some gift cards to nice restaurants, can you?
John: If he likes camping, you could get him a tent, or a nice sleeping bag. If he likes fishing, you could get him some fishing poles, a tackle box. If he likes hunting, some guns, a Carhartt jacket, maybe overalls?, Camo items.
**I really hope this helps! Good luck on your Christmas Shopping(:

13 year old gifts??

Mommy of 5

My niece is the most giving 13 year old. She baby-sits 3 children for 3 1/2 hours after school (until 4:30) and makes almost $1,000 a month. She models every month for about $2,000 a month. She is so good because every month she puts $2,500 in savings, spends $200 on herself and the extra money (usually $300) she gives to a charity. Usually giving toys to children that don't have any. Giving parents Stop&Shop gift cards for $300. Around the holiday season she "adopts" a family and spends between $500-$600 on them each year. She gives something to someone EVERY time she gets a chance. I was at a store with her one day and there was a homeless family (mother and her 2 children) walking the street. She reached out of her purse and handed them each a breakfast bar and a pair of socks. They were so thrilled but my daughter walked away like it was nothing. Her birthday is coming up and I don't know what to buy her? Any ideas? I want it to be something for her that she will enjoy.
She is girly as your probably could tell because she models.
Oh I didn't even realize it! She is so close to me plus I have two daughters of my own and maybe one on the way.
and 4:30 is suppose to be 5:30
I think you guys helped me a lot. I think I will take her to the spa to relax because she works so hard. Then I will go to the mall and buy her a few things. For my baby shower we will ask everyone to instead of a gift to bring blankets, toys, bottles, formula, food, cribs, soap, shampoo, clothes, etc for babies with parents that don't have money. Thanks so much for all the help.

Answer
I am confused by one part. You write that your daughter walks away like it's nothing when the story was about your niece.

Either way, this girl is amazing! As far as birthday presents go, she seems beyond generous. If she has everything she wants and needs, talk to her. We are having a baby but have all of the baby stuff we need. Our shower invitations read "In lieu of a gift, please make a donation in our child's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital." We feel better because we know we are helping others and our guests feel doubly generous.

gift idea 2 year old girl ?

Fuzzy

what should i get for my friends 2 year old girl ? safe gift idea's ?
don't really know what kind of things she likes...

Answer
At 2 I would definitely say baby doll related toys. My daughters favorite toys in that age range was her baby doll stroller and shopping cart she would push them around everywhere.
For around $30 you can get a 3-in-1 stroller system that has a carseat and stroller just like her mommy probably uses. My daughter is now 4 and still plays with hers!

Good Christmas gift for Mom?

Q. I need a good Christmas gift for my mom and fast! She is in her 40s or so and I'm 13. I'm working off a non existent budget, but I do have good credit with dad (some $200) from office work....lol, anyway, what can I get her from a place like Wal-Mart or Circuit City or Barnes and Nobles/Books a Million or anything like that? I've tried asking her what she wants, but she doesn't have anything in mind. Please don't say anything like, all she needs is a good "I love you" or something!?!? Anyway, thanks!?

Answer
Well, I'm 14 and my mom is in her 40's to. And so far the perfect gift for any mom is something that she needs. Maybe a new kitchen applaince or even these nice 100 dollar bracelets.

What to give a 9 month old boy on his first Christmas?

Kelly

Answer
Word of advice: he is 9 months old. He doesn't know it's Christmas nor will he expect gifts. He won't remember this day, it's more for the family to get to see him experience it. Babies really enjoy the unwrapping part the most.

What does he like to do? Get him things he likes. Books, toys, coloring, finger paint, stuffed animals, clothes.

But seriously, don't spend tons of money. He doesn't know or care either way and he will quickly out grow everything you buy him.

Gift ideas for a 10 month old that hates baby toys!?

Miranda

My son just turned 9 months old, and will turn 10 months old right before Christmas. I have NO idea what to get him. He's walking, talking, and climbing already and has no interest in any of his baby toys. He likes to play with some of my 4 year old twin boys' toys, but I want to find things that are a little more age appropriate for him, but that won't bore him. Educational toys that are fun are definitely a plus, and cost is an issue (I don't have 5k to drop on Christmas gifts lol). Thanks for any ideas!!!!

Answer
how about books, nesting blocks, a Leap Frog table, maybe some little tikes cars. I know my daughter loves anything with wheels or with buttons so how about a car with sound effects? There are also riding toys or (my daughter got one for her b-day) 'My pal Scout'

Good luck!
