Is it rude to ask for something in particular for a baby shower gift?

Bec

I have a few friends who are all pregnant at the same time, including myself, so we have been discussing baby shower ideas. These babies are all 2nd babies for us, and were not really sure about what to do.

We all have things left over from our 1st babies, so we don't need much. We also don't want any of that generic baby shower stuff like powders, creams, etc and other useless crap we will never use.

Is it wrong to tell people what you want, ie on the invitation or something, or even request money or a gift voucher? What do you think?

Answer
With my first baby I did not know how the hole registry thing, and tons of people kept asking me "what do you want? what do you need?" so I told them all the same things and do you know what I got? 20 powders, tons of baby shampoo, lots of baby lotion, and it took me about 2 years to use all of it! (not complaining, just had to keep finding places to put them). then I got 2 bouncers, 2 play and packs, 2 swings. etc.

so with my second I made a registry and got stuff that i NEEDED, I love the fact that they have registries now because now you want get to much stuff you don't need, and get what you really need.
and no it's not rude! when ever I hear about a baby shower I find their registry.
and don't be afraid to ask for money, that's what my sister did, was not rude or anything.

Baby Shower gift for Triplets?

Proud Momm

I really need some baby shower gift ideas for my first cousin. We have been the best of friends since we were little so I really would like to get her something special. She's having triplets after trying for 9 long years to conceive after her son was born who will be 10 soon. She's having 2 girls and a boy. When I was pregnant with my daughter my cousin and her husband were very generous with the gift that they purchased at my baby shower and while I know that its the thought that counts, I would still like to get her something really nice an special, but i'm kind of having a hard time deciding what to do since its triplets.
I was initially going to buy a large basket and then fill it with baby things like clothing, blankets, etc... but blankets and what not really are expensive when you multiply the price of one by three, you'll have $60 just in 3 blankets lol. My budget is around $100 and I really just don't want the bulk of the $100 to go toward only 3 blankets.
britney: Engraving their names is a great idea on blankets, but they have not decided on any names yet considering that they just found out what they are having a week ago. Her doctor is putting her on bed rest next week so they are in a rush to get a shower together by next weekend and I really doubt they'll have names picked out by then and if they do it will be too late lol..but its still a great idea.
Wife to an amazing man: heavier winter baby blanets roughly estimate anywhere from $16 to $20 a piece in stores like Target, babies r us, etc...so yes, $60 for 3 give or take. I understand that you can find cheaper blankets online but I really don't have time to order anything online because the shower is in 6 days. With extra shipping costs to get the things here in time, it would actually cost more lol.

Answer
I know it's not really special but you cousin will love them. I'm also a triplet mom and I'm friends with a lot of triplet moms (Or high risk doctors got us all together and we go out once a month). Two of my friends also love these. They really helped our babies. It's called a Rock and Play by fisher price. I know it doesn't look like much but my girls loved them. We actually used them as bassinets and two other triplet mom use them as bassinets too. Depending on if your cousin is planning on having them in her room with them they might be a great buy. I know it really was a great thing my husband and I brought and I have brought it for every other parent's baby shower since.

Congrats to your cousin!

gifts for newborn triplets?

expecting

my really close friend is due with her Triplets, [2 girls and 1 boy] any day now! I want to send something to the hospital but now quite sure on what or where to go for triplet gifts. anyone have any ideas!!!
oh PS im looking for things that can be easily & cheaply sent. My husband is in the army so we are stationed 7 hours away from home :) But thanks for all the suggestions! They are great!

Answer
diapers and wipes would be a really good thing...but something else that you could do that would probably be even more appreciated would be to make them some "coupons" for free help with the babies, such as a few hours of baby-sitting so mom can get a little sleep and things like that...

Baby Shower Gift Ideas?

Lila

I'm going to a baby shower for 2 girls I work with, that I really don't know too well. One of them I barely know at all.

Any ideas on some gifts that don't cost much?

- baby bathtub

$20 ideas:
You could make a really pretty gift basket of different themes.

- Johnson & Johnson baby care set. Has grooming needs and medical supplies in a convient carrying case.
- Walmart has a Fisher price baby monitor for $19.88

Whats a good Baby shower gift?

Hanna and

My bestfriend is having a baby shower and she is having a little girl, what is something unique i can make or buy for her? I dont want the regular toys or clothes. I want something she knows is from me. Any ideas? Thanks!

Answer
One of the better gifts I've ever seen given at a baby shower was from the mom-to-be's grandma. It was a huge laundry basket, lined with a beautiful baby blanket, full of stuff especially for mom. (Bubble baths, nail polishes, slippers, comfortable pajamas, etc, along with a few clothing items for baby.) It was my understanding that she had already bought a lot for the baby, so the gift she gave at the shower was especially for her granddaughter. You might consider doing something similar for your friend with small gifts you know she'll like. Good luck with finding something. :)

Gift for mom and dad under $20 each?

.

If you've seen my question earlier, my Dad gave me $40 to spend on both of them. $20 each.

I was wondering if you can give your opinion on these gifts for both of them?

Mom -
$10 Nordstrom Coffee Gift Card (She LOVES it there)
Bath and Body Works Lotion (I know her favorite scent)

Dad -
$10 Coffee Bean Gift Card (He goes there every day)
A pack of baseball cards (He always collects them ever since he was a kid)

And then for both I plan on making them each a handmade Christmas Card in the shape of a reindeer since they always love to see my artistic handmade cards every holiday and birthday. ;)

And I was thinking of getting my dad a Bath and Body works lotion too, since he always gets dried hands and puts on lotion every day (he has a favorite scent as well). Or do you think that would be unfair having my dad get three gifts and my mom two?

Thank you!
Okay! I changed my mind on the lotion for my dad! Instead, I'll buy them one box of See's chocolate candies for them to share since they LOVE those! :D

That way, also, they will both have two seprerate gifts each, a box of chocolates to share, and each a reigndeer card! Yay! :D
@D -

YOU should have READ my last QUESTION earlier explaining my whole situation of my dad giving me money.

Sheesh. Calm down. ;)
@D:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ahmt.BnHmQXEf7A.BaiXjUPsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20101222130310AAfIlwu

Merry Christmas to you too. -.-

Answer
Hi, I think you should skip the lotion for your dad bc even though he has a favorite scent from Bath n Body works, to my knowledge everything from there has a feminine scent. He could just be saying he has a favorite scent from there to be nice or to relate to you and your mom.
Guys don't care when their hands are rough like we do and if it bothers them, they know what they can do about it, just rub some cooking oil on them or whatever. With that being said, her presents of Coffee card and Lotion and his of Coffee card and Baseball cards are perfect :)
Also, artwork is becoming a rare gift to give someone these days, so your reindeer cards will be appreciated.
Merry CHristmas

Edit: F off "D". If your dad woulda gave you money to buy him a X Mas present at that age, you woulda bought drugs with it, ya loser!

Moms christmas gifts?!?!?

Another On

i have 2 kids. 7 year old boy and 5 year old girl. the 1st time around being so little himself my son really didn't know or understand he was getting a sister so didn't do any gifts per say. he got a big brother t-shirt and grandma took him to the gift shop to pick out a stuffy for her.

this time they both fully understand so i wanted to do something extra special besides the "big brother/sister" shirts. i got best friend necklaces for baby and big sister and i know she will love it but i am stumped on what to do for my son, plus extra pressure to make it someting good because he is still bummed he is stuck with another sister instead of getting the brother he really wanted. maybe it's stupid i was just thinking this gift idea might help get thier relationship off to a good start and get him to like her better.

what is a good idea for a gift to big brother from baby sister?

Fia_0322

My 5 year old son recently told me he's mad at me because I'm replacing him. It broke my heart to hear him say that. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant with my daughter and I wanted to get him a gift from the baby to show him he's not being replaced. Only problem is I have no clue what.

Can anyone give me some ideas on what would be a good gift for big brother from baby sister?

Thanks!

Answer
Something that he could have always, with a dated engraved message from his sister, such as "I love my special big brother". Maybe a silver money box or a mug?

Answer
I can see great potential with your product and you need to get your website findable on the internet.

Right now I do not think you can get any sort of business protection as there is prior art especially balloons however I see many unique layouts, styles and faces on the balloons which should be protected.

This is the basic info for your "home" page...
URL: http://bloomingballoons.com/
Title: Blooming Balloons - Balloon Decor and Deliveries in the Raleigh, NC Area!
Meta keywords:
Meta description:

Your web pages must have a meta description as this is what is shown when people search for your product. Here is the result for your website on Google...
Blooming Balloons - Balloon Decor and Deliveries in the Raleigh ...
Blooming Balloons offers balloon decor for parties, weddings, corporate events, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, princess parties, ...
www.bloomingballoons.com/ - Cached - Similar

You will see that your content has been used by Google as there is no meta description. They do want to show your website.

I found your website at page 6 position 59 of Google search for the keywords "Balloon Decor" . Your use of keywords needs to be properly set up. "Balloon Decor" is in your title.

Here is your Page 1 Position 1 competition. http://www.balonik.com/index_eng.html

You have this website as your target to beat, this is their basic webpage info...

Meta keywords: party, banquets, decorating, balloons, balloon decorations, balloons for weddings, parties, montreal, quebec, balonik, canada, happy birthday, new baby gifts, corporate

Meta description: Our company specializes in balloon decorations for all occasions. Weddings, banquets, parties as well as logos, promotional decorations are our specializations.

Just compare this with yours and you can see a vast difference. The "home" page is a choice of languages and it is still No.1.

Is Twilight BD part 2 suitable for kids?

Luke

My 10 year old sister wants to watch Twilight Breaking Dawn part 2, and i would never watch it so i was wondering if anyone could tell if it would be suitable for her and if it isn't whats in it that makes it inappropriate?

Thanks, Luke

Answer
i saw the whole thing in marathon form, and part 2 twice. i think its suitable for her if she already has the other DVDS and the making of companion books with her merchandise. if she doesnt have the making of companions get her those, they are really well written and explain how the movies came together.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/twilight-mark-cotta-vaz/1102342719?ean=9780316043137
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/new-moon-mark-cotta-vaz/1017369179?ean=9780316075800
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/twilight-saga-eclipse-mark-cotta-vaz/1102901070?ean=9780316087377
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-twilight-saga-mark-cotta-vaz/1108038170?ean=9780316134118

get her these as they are worth every twilight fans collection, part 2's companion will not be released until after the DVD itself is. in the meanwhile if she doesn't want to wait for the DVD, get her twilight the complete film archive.
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-twilight-saga-robert-abele/1112765749?ean=9780316222464

these are great pieces for a christmas gift from you. take her out to the theater for breaking dawn part 2 as it has generated a lot of money.

the part that may not be suitable for her viewing is bella's pregnancy as that required a huge challenge for the montreal effects studio modus fx that aided in part 1. if she watched part 1 she viewed that as well as the other elements that could have raised the first film to R.

the challenge for modus fx was creating a CG shot of the belly of a pregnant bella, the removal of a wrist brace kirsten stewart was wearing at the time part 1 was filmed, along with other cosmetic refinements. the production team behind part 1 wanted the baby to move around and they had to match everything move for move. Modus FX had to create a CG model of the hand and it had to matchmove according to the baby's movements. there was a lot involved.

i hope this helps, and do follow my recommendations for this. this movie is completely suited to her.

follow my twilight christmas list for her.

Need help with a memorial gift?

My nephew was born too early and did not make it. This April would have been his first birthday. He means a lot to our family and I wanted to get something to give my brother and his wife to honor that day. So if I had this saying...You touched our hearts the day you were born in your own endearing
way.Happy First Birthday to a
Forever Angel.
Love (then our names and the date)
engraved on this...http://www.thingsremembered.com/webapp/w...

Would that saying be good or any suggestions? Keep in mind the cost of personalization is $3 a word from the place I am looking at.
The star idea is great, although that has already been done for him. The tree idea, he has one in their yard. As for the March of Dimes I am raising money now and doing the March For Babies this month.

I know it is not his first birthday that is why it says to a "forever angel"

It will be painful for them that day weather I give them anything or not. She has a count down on her myspace page till his "first Birthday"

And yes she is moving on they have twins 4 months old still struggling to come home from the special care nursery.

Then had them engrave "Forever in our hearts, then his name and then We love you"

I know nothing I do or don't do and that day will make it harder or easier! Thanks for all the imput

Answer
As a mother who lost a baby, I disagree with those who say not to remind the parents of the baby's death. It's something a mother can't possibly understand until she has experienced it. The worst thing one can do is to pretend like the baby never existed. However, every parents handles it differently. Some choose to honor their baby's birthday (like I do), while others try to put it in the back of their minds. I personally would love your idea, but I'm not your brother or sister - in - law.
Another idea would be to make a donation to the March Of Dimes in your nephew's memory.
I wish your family well on what will surely be a bittersweet day.
*EDIT* Again, as a mother who has experienced infant loss, thank you for raising money for MOD. I'm sure your brother and his wife really appreciate it.

has anyone given birth recently at white memorial in east los angeles If so what gifts are they giving baby?

Rocio Ruiz

I want to know what are the gifts the baby and the mother get when they are discharged.

Answer
I haev never given birth at that hospital, but I have given birth four times. We were usually sent home with the cap the baby wore (you are supposed to leave the shirt/gown and blankets), a pacifier if you want, any remaining formula from the open case, any remaining diapers and wipes from the open packages, any remaining sanitary pads and such from the mother's maternity package, and a diaper bag supplied by a formula company with samples of formula and sometimes other small products (a Huggies diaper, a Playtext bottle, varies depending on which company and what partners have donated items to be included) as well as a lot of coupons. Other than that, we never got "gifts".

Older sibling and a new baby?

jilly23810

My son is very very excited for the arrival of his new baby sister, but I am wondering about how he is going to react once she is here. He just turned 4...not a spoiled child and listens very well. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to ease him into the idea of sharing mommy and daddy...I have heard to make him feel like he is helping with the baby - ie: feeding, getting the baby dressed. Any other suggestions to make this transition as smooth as possible with the least amount of jealousy and resentment?

Answer
It sounds like he is pretty much ready for her to show up. And looking forward to it!!! Not sure there is much else you can do to prepare, but I would say, once she is here don't make him 'second fiddle' to her. You will likely have a lot of people coming by to ooh and aah over the new baby. That might make him feel left out. Make sure to plan some special time for the two of you without the little sister in tow...if possible. So he is getting just as much attention. One thing I always do when visiting friends with a new baby, is to make sure to bring a gift for both the baby and the sibling. It's easy at that age to feel left out. Hope your friends and relatives do the same for your little guy. Good luck and CONGRATS!!

PS - forgot to mention. A friend of mine who had a son about the same age as yours, put a sign up on the lawn that said..."Josiah has a new little brother!" when the baby arrived. He felt totally special that his name was on such a large marquee in front of their house! And everyone who came by shook Josiah's hand and congratulated him before even looking at the baby. Josiah's job was to hand everyone chocolate cigars!! :)

These always work. 7yrs old and up.

They are very cute and cheap ( and useful) and I always use these when I want to give a gift without spending a lot of money.

I use these all the time as stocking stuffers or for Secret Santa parties.
and people always seem to love them and ask where I got them. Great for guy or gal.

Does anyone have an idea for a baby gift (gender unknown) for a new family in India?

Lizzy

We have a great friend who is expecting his first child. They are a very traditional Indian family, it was an arranged marriage. I do not want to buy something that would be inappropriate for an family from India. Any ideas?

Answer
I would think that Diapers, Bottles, Neutral Colored blankets, and other basic supplies would be appropriate. I don't know much about Indian Culture, but I can assume that any expectant parent would appreciate those.

Or you could always ask your friend what he needs, and then buy accordingly.

what would be a proper baby gift for a couple from india that has recently moved to the US?

Answer
As I just had my baby shower and got mostly clothes and things I didn't really need, I would suggest anyone to just put together a gift bag with pampers, wipes, and other disposibles they'll be going through. You can't go wrong with that.

Baby & Mom Gifts?

India

My best friend is having a baby in October and I was wondering what would be some good ideas on what I should get her. I want to get her stuff for the baby and stuff for her and her hubby. I live in Arkansas and she lives in California so I will need to be able to ship it. Thanks for your ideas.

Answer
What about the necessities.....I am a mom to be and would love to get clothes (even ones that are not neccisarly for a newborn but maybe for when the baby is 12 months or so). Also a mom can never have to many diapers(for when the baby is a little older like 6-9 months, yearl old or so). Mabye get some of these with baby lotion, baby shampoo, and put them in a little basket for her.

To new moms--What is the best baby gift you received?

HBK

Answer
Pre-baby: a gift certificate for 3D ultrasound

Post-baby: it's a tie - my friends at church set up a rotating schedule to visit and brought over dinner (plus sides and dessert!) every other day for the first month so we didn't have to cook and could just enjoy our little one and my mom gave me a gift certificate for a housekeeeper so when I was receiving tons of guests after the baby was born I didn't have to worry about nagging my hubbie into doing the hard-core scrubbing (c-section)

Traditional baby gift: I got a beautiful Hooter Hider, which got a lot of use: I was able to socialize and didn't feel like I had to hide when my baby needed to feed (blankets were too warm for my spring/summer babies and always shifted), it also worked for cleaning up messes when we were out and I needed something, it was a blanket to lay my little one on when we were someplace I didn't feel was clean, and it made a great shade extender on the stroller. http://shop.bebeaulait.com/Hooter-Hiders-New

What to gift,wear to batptism?

jessiehone

So my friend asked me to be the godmother of her son,and i am not sure what to get him? Her mother is getting his outfit,so i can't get that..And also what should i wear? It's the middle of summer i was thinking just nice dress pants and like a nice button up shirt. It's a lutheran baptism if that matters any.

Answer
You wear what you would normally wear to church; if you aren't a regular church goer wear what you would wear to an interview.

As to gifts, you could give a commemorative Bible where significant dates can be entered; a cross, a commemorative frame, a throw with baby's name and the baptism date embroidered on it, a bond or other money to plan for baby's earthly future.

What should I bring and wear to a Lutheran infant baptism?

Q. I'm a Baptist (northern), and the church I go to is very informal. We don't believe in infant baptisms, so I don't know what would be customary for me to wear or bring to one. I'd probably bring a teddy bear with a cross, or a book of bible stories, the problem is the family the baby is in isn't religious at all. They're just getting him baptized to please their parents. What would be a good present to bring? How nice should I dress? Can you explain a little about Lutheran's beliefs?

Answer
I don't know anything about Lutheran beliefs. But it would be courteous to dress nice, and bring a gift for the baby. A nice baby blanket is an appropriate gift and always appreciated. Or, you could open a savings account with some money in it for the child's college education.

My friends daughter is turning 3 next weekend and we will be attending her party. What is a good gift to get for her? I don't really want to spend much more than $30. My daughter is 4 and a half months old so I'm used to buying her age toys...not too sure what to get a 3 year old....help?

Answer
In my experience, the more 'commercialised' the toy is, the less life-span it has. And that is from both the point of view about how sturdy a toy is, but also about how much they will play with it. Anything that makes noise or moves with batteries really only entertains them for days or weeks as best and then they move back to the toys that allow more imagination. The simpler the better, and the toys that don't 'tell' you how to play with them.

The sorts of things that last for years are toys like building blocks/lego or simple baby doll stuff - dolls that are hardy and can go in the bath or get thrown around a bit, are easy to dress etc.
Most little girls already have a doll, but a little stroller for it to be pushed around in is always good if she hasn't got one.

Other non 'toy' ideas are things like a pretty umbrella or raincoat, bubble mix, paints or put together a craft box with things like a glue stick, coloured card and paper, sturdy children's scissors, feathers, stickers, colourful foam or pom-pom bits etc. They love this - it's great to keep aside for a rainy day or for special times when mum/dad need the child to be occupied. I have one for when I need to be on the phone without being interrupted, or when I'm trying to put the little one to sleep and need some quiet - all sorts of possibilities.

Another idea the kids love is a cookie baking kit (little boys love this too BTW). Depending on how much you want to spend, at the minimum it could have a favouite cookie recipe that's child friendly, a rolling pin and cookie cutters (try and get the metal ones as they last better - more quality and less quantity means you have a gift that will keep reminding them of you for years to come). Other things that can go in are a little apron, a mixing bowl and spoon, a spatula to scrape it clean, a silicone cookie mat for the oven, or even a cute cookie jar for their hard work to go in.

I have also had great fun putting together gardening kits for young kids too. A little trowel, garden gloves and seedlings/seeds and raising mix all put into a nice pot or herb box. herbs/tomatoes/strawberries are great because they can watch them grow and then eat them. A little watering can is also a cute addition.

HTH :-) It's so much more fun than just buying a colourful plastic wrapped Chinese made toy from Target!

Gift Card Baby Shower?

pumpkinpat

My sister is having her first baby and she lives in Alaska. We want to hold a baby shower for her and she will not be able to attend. Because of the cost to ship things to Alaska we were thinking about doing a gift card baby shower and having people put on the gift card what they would like it to be used on. What are your thoughts and how do I word the invitation?

Answer
The gift cards are a good idea but maybe you could give people a few options. When I was in the Army and had a birthday, holiday or other gift giving event I could not be there for in person, I would think up creative ways to get the gift I wanted to give to the person it was for. One idea was to call a store local to the person and purchase the gift over the phone with a credit card. I did this for my sister once. I called Peir 1 Imports and bought her a papasan chair and stool and I wouldn't tell her what it was. She had to wait until her birthday and go to the store to pick it up. The store agreed not to release it to her until then.

Another idea is mailing a gift card along with a catalogue or clippings of the item you want them to purchase for themself. I did this one year for Christmas presents for my family members.

Also, it's great that you are hosting a shower for your sister but she may be really sad she can't be there for it. Maybe you could have someone video tape all the guests wishing her well and send the tape in a box along with a few party favors, hats, balloons, and other misc things from the shower - sort of a shower in a box. That would be really sweet.

WHatever you do I'm sure your sister will appreciate it. Good for you for being such a great sister! Cheers!

Usually what kinds of gift do you give to a 1-month old baby welcoming party?

Baby's 1st birthday gift ideas?

Andrea

So my son will be turning 1 on May 28th.

I was wondering what everyone got theirs kids for their first birthday??

My son is small for his age. He is 9 months and only weighs 17lbs and is about 27 in long.

I really wanted to get him a bike, but I can not find one that he will even be able to touch the ground. Since his bday is in May I want to focus on more outside toys than inside.

Any ideas would help so much!!

*We are already planning on getting him a swing set.

Answer
My son will be 1 on may 25th! And he too is 17lbs 27"! I'm getting my son an inflatable ball pit. They sell them at walmart. That is all I'm getting though until after his party. We have a huge family so there will be about 40-50 people at his party which means a lot of gifts. So I'm waiting till after his party to see what he gets. We are limited on space so everyone elses gifts are still going to be more than what we can store. But I might get him a baby pool too. So yeah my advice is to judge on the party size to see how much to get him. :)

What's a good gift for a Baby Boys 1st Birthday?

Something really fun!

My son will be 1 in a couple weeks and his Grand Parents want to get him something nice.

Any suggestions?

(money isn't an object .. Grandma and Grandpa don't look at price tags :)

We want it to be something he'll really enjoy ..

Thanks! ã

Answer
Awww how sweet 1st bdays are! :) Grandparents never look at price tags! :) ----- Well there are so many things, I remember for my son older son when he turned one my parents bought him a really nice Little Tikes Swing Set, there are all kind of nice ones, okay priced and pricey like $800 but its worth it and last a long time! So you should go on little tikes.com and see what they have. His other set of grandparents bought him a power wheels John Deere ride on, those run like $400 or so. So try those for ideas! Hope I was of some help! God bless your little one and hope he has a nice 1st bday! Di :)

Gifts for mom... i need helpp?

jenna

im a teenager that needs a GOOD gift idea for my mom. My budget is $50 but if its bigger, my sister will pay 50 and i will too.She likes cooking, but already has all the pots and pans you can imagine. she doesnt like homemade crafts or cheap jewelry.
this is hard!

Answer
Moms LOVE thoughtful gifts....
Get her a gift certificate for a facial, massage, or a manicure (something to relieve stress). Then....
make her a coupon book. Make the coupons for things you know your mom will enjoy like...
1. Good for lunch prepared by me for you
2. Good for cleaning up the dishes after dinner ect.
My kids did this last year for my b-day I redeemed them as I needed to. My favorite was "movies with me" ( they told me to pick a movie then rented it, popped me popcorn and had soda) just spent some time with me and I didn't have to play host.
Really all moms want is to spend a little time with our kids, have them be a little generous once in awhile and to know they love us.
