Congratulations Gift? (New Baby)?

AnyaEllie

My boyfriend's brother just had his first son with his wife. So my boyfriend is an uncle again, and since this is his first nephew I wanted to do something for them. I've already bought chocolate cigars from see's candy, but I was wondering what else could I do? I would like to give them a gift that kinda connects my boyfriend, his brother, and the new baby boy but I'm not sure what to get. Any ideas at all would be appreciated! Thank you!

Answer
Buy a gift certificate for a photography session for baby, daddy, and uncle.

Gift for my boyfriends family?

Mary

So my boyfriend is out of the country over the holidays. His family and my family both live by each other but I live hours away from them because of school. I thought that it would be nice for me to stop by casually and give them a holiday gift. Especially to his parents and his brother & sister in law. I know that it would mean a lot to my boyfriend if I did that. But, what should I get them? His parents have everything they could ever want. His brother has a new baby girl. Any gift ideas?

Thanks!

Answer
A picture frame would be a good thing for the brother. With a new baby, they will have lots of pictures to display! As far as the parents, if they drink, a nice bottle of wine is always nice. If not, again a picture frame is good...they have a new grand baby they will want to display lots of pictures of!!!

engagement party gift ideas?

itsme

I am the maid of honor and I have no idea what people give for engagement parties! They don't have a registry set up. They are in their mid-20's...any ideas??

Answer
Where are you from?
Engagement parties are gift giving events in Australia.

When I go to an engagement party I alway give a $50 gift card from a homewares store. That way they get to choose what they need and what matches their decor.

If you want to get them something a little personal, why don't you search through your photos, find a beautiful photo of the couple and have it framed. A friend did that for my birthday (a photo of my fiancé, our baby and myself). I loved it. By far the best gift and it was personal too.

What are good Christmas gifts for three little girls and a 1 year old baby boy?

DelilahLov

One is in Kindergarten, another in second, and the other in 4th.
They're my cousins and over the past years I haven't really given
such great gifts. I mean I try hard, but it's mostly toys and clothes.
What's something that they can keep forever (or more then a couple of years)
and it's memorable? I can't give toys because their parents (not all related) don't want any more toys. I don't want to give them DVDs, either (stuck in front of the TV all day) and music is okay but I really don't like Kids Bop or Hannah Montana for the children. Of course for my baby boy cousin, I'll give him a teddy bear or blanket (he doesn't care, he's happy if you give him something to bang with)

Keep in mind, it can't be pricey and it'll be helpful if parents or people with the same experiences answered. (I was thinking of getting them a baby doll, I remember my first one(: but then they own like 20)

Answer
Build A Bear . . it's personal, its designed to suit each childs taste and its something that they can cherish forever. My son is 3yrs (almost 4) and loves his 'magic police panda bear'. You can get a gift certificate so the older ones can go to a store and make it themselves (something my son really enjoyed doing) or you can make it for them with things they like in mind. This is a gift thats great for all the ages you mentioned. http://www.buildabear.com/

The Process
- pick out a animal of your choice to stuff
- pick out a sound (if you choose)
- grab a felt heart (for the inside of your animal)
- sing a song (for the kids) to jump start their heart and make it your special bear
- stuff it
- bring it to the wash station to brush/fluff it (for the kids)
- pick out an outfit for the bear (if you choose)
- fill out its birth certificate at the computer station
- and go to the cash register to get the box and the birth certificate

As for avoiding toys, if you have any girly girls getting then a nice little jewellery box is great. I know my aunt got one for me as a little girl and I still have it. Same with necklaces and charm bracelets. You don't have to spend a lot to get something nice. My aunt never had a lot of money but she always threw together little packets of jewelry (even plastic stuff for my younger sister). Another option is the classics. Cabbage patch dolls are back and my daughter (2yrs) loves them. Something to think about anyway. =)

What's a good Christmas gift for a 4 year old girl?

One amongs

I am wondering what to get my niece for Christmas. I want to avoid loud, noisy, expensive toys. I don't want to get her any clothes because she'll grow out of them so quickly. Money is tight this year and I am kind of leaning toward getting her something nice that she can have for awhile. No video games or electronics, please. I would just like some suggestions for nice, but inexpensive gifts that she'd enjoy.

Answer
I would suggest a board game but for her age it's basically a toy which u said is a no no.......here's some things that I have in mind
for my 4 yr old boy one of his xmas gifts is the book "the night before christmas" it's recordable so when they turn the page they hear your voice this was from hallmark for $35.00.....if this is not in your budget you can go to a reg book store and buy the reg non recordable book ' the night before christmas"

there's interactive software learning games like Reader Rabbit that start from $10.00

you can buy some real cute clothes in the baby section at H&M b/c it's cheap just buy a bigger size

books by Robert Munsch are awesome she'll love it..like Mortimer, or The Papper Bag Princess those are classics and only cost $6 per book another one of my favorties is not by Robert Munsch ......it's called Guess How Much I Love You.

around xmas there is also the custom made bookswith their names in it I would say around $25

you can go to the Disney store and get her a snow globe with characters starting at $20 with characters on them and sparkles inside, wal mart sometimes sell disney brands too

or you can buy her a christmas shatter proof ordament collectable like barbie or other characters good luck

EDit;......... Stupid Paul, it's a 4 yr old child u Perv.... 4!!!!!!!!!!!

Fathers Day Gift from a 6 month old baby?

3 of us an

I need some gift ideas for my husband for Father's Day. Our son will be 6 months old. Please help. Thanks.

Answer
Have the 6 month old hold a crayon to a piece of paper and let them scribble for a card. :) And for a gift maybe you could get him a drool rag. :P As a joke, I mean. Or even a coupon that gets him out of changing the baby's diaper for a week or so. :) Or matching outfits. Or just matching shirts. Maybe anything that says "I love my daddy" Or "I love my daughter/son" (: I hope this helps a little.

Gift Ideas for a 6 month old baby?

dqn17

I am looking for a present I could give my nephew no too expensive though around 20-30$ would be nice. and where I can get it too please thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
Well most 6 month olds are at the stage where they like anything with bright, bold colours. They are also usually either rolling or spending a lot of time on their tummies. Some are starting to crawl. With all this in mind, and of course your budget, you should try target. They have great colourful playmats. Some make noise, others have little toys attached to them so baby can play.
Books are always a good gift. Most bubs enjoy bein in the bath at this age too so you could always go with some sort of bath toy. You can get some that play music and squirt water and they are not expensive.
Play phones are great fun. If you decide to take the clothes option, take into account that most people buy babies clothing so I would go with pyjamas because there's less chance of doubling up.
Hope I helped.

What is a good, portable, gift for future mom of twins?

scruffycat

My friend's husband was recently transferred (military) to another state. They are leaving next week, and I will see them one last time on Sunday. She already had a great, big baby shower that I was not able to attend. I would like to get her a baby gift before she leaves... the twins are not due until November... so, what is something I can get for my friend that will be a blessing AND be easy to tote along on the road trip? They are all packed up and leaving next week. Any suggestions from other mothers of multiples... even of singles?
Thanks!

Me- I don't really know what I want, but an idea for the list would be great. I'm 14, Have 4 dogs, love art, dance, and music, love to read (harry potter is my FAVORITE!!), i'm going to be an architect and/or lawyer when I grow up and want to go to harvard...

Great birthday gift ideas?

Flowers

My mom and her twin sister have a birthday coming up. I'm very close to both of them, it's like I have two mom's. So they both are the hardest people to buy for, if they want something they buy it for themselves. My mom is more of a t-shirt & jeans kind of gal and my aunt is always dressed to the nines. I don't have a clue as to what to get either of them. I want to get them something unique, but practical. Any great gift ideas?
They are turning 51.

Answer
ummm new watches? You can get them each their own style with the gifts also being similar and you could even have them engraved with special sayings for each of them.

baby shower gift delivery?

C.c.

I'm going to attend to a baby shower in early December, I just received the invitation, it's late October now. So there's a month to go before the event. I also received the gift registry information, gifts can be ordered online.

Since this is very early to the event, but in case I don't forget about it, I want to buy the gift now, my question is: shall I deliver to the mother-to-be's home or my own place and hand the gift in person when attending the event? (The online gift registry place also gives the option of delivering to the mother-to-be's address. )

Thank you!

Answer
I always think its nicer to give a gift in person so I'd get it sent to you and you take it to the shower

Answer
Oh do I have some games.....these are straight off my website's Baby Shower Guide....

Baby Shower Bodysuit Decorating

Bodysuits are one thing the new parents will need lots of!! A great activity is to have guests at the baby shower decorate bodysuits!! Purchase enough bodysuits and fabric paint for each guest attending and set up the "creation station" in a location that will not be needed during the rest of the shower!! (This will allow the bodysuits to dry without them having to be moved.) When the shower is over...offer to wash the custom bodysuits for the new parents, making sure to follow the directions on the fabric paint bottles. For large baby showers....purchase a wide range of sizes so these creations will be a part of baby's first full year!

Suggestion: Cover the table being used with a plastic drop cloth covered with an old tablecloth that is no longer needed (the one with gravy stains on it from last Thanksgiving??). 5 Tubes of 1.25oz Colored Fabric Paint should be enough to decorate 10 Bodysuits (when used sparringly).

_____________

Letters to The Baby
As the guests walk to the table where the gifts are being placed.....have a special station set up on the side of the gift table. At this station have cute baby themed stationary laid out with some nice pens. Beside the stationary have a card out asking each guest to take a few moments to write a note to the new baby. When the guests have finished writing their notes, have a tray or basket provided to place them in. Once all the guests have written their notes....the hostess can then choose one or two, at random, to be chosen for a prize (this could be your shower's door prize). When the shower is over these notes can be placed in a scrapbook or album to be enjoyed by the parents now and by the baby years down the road. Sweet and sentimental and sure to be treasured by the new family!!!

Suggestion: I would advise that these notes not be read in front of the crowd....your guests may not want their letters shared aloud for all to hear. These are their special words to baby and the new parents so allow these words to be just for them!!
________________

Scavenger Hunt For Useful and Unique Baby Items

After the gifts have been opened....surprise the parents with a scavenger hunt for these fun and unique items!! Before the shower you will want to hide these items in rooms that won't be accessed during the party. Have the clues written on parchment paper rolled up and secured with ribbon. The first clue will be handed to the parents (or mommy) the remaining clues will be hidden with each item as it is found.

Item #1: Clue"In the crib you thought baby would sleep.....but there will be many nights you'll be up with baby watching TV. In your comforting arms she (he) will want to be cuddled. Underneath this gift you can both be huddled. There is something for baby and something for mom. Something for daddy....and something for all." (now the hostess will add a clue revealing where the gift is hidden ie: hidden in a room at the top of the stairs, take a sharp left, open the door, it is there!!). Hidden in this room could be a Moses Basket with A Soft Throw blanket and A DVD of a television series mom or dad really likes and a CD to dance with baby to that mom or dad likes!!)

Item #2: Clue: "There are so many items that the book did not heed.....so many items you will not know you need!! At 2 in the morning baby's teeth seem to come....or those irksome gas bubbles that just aren't any fun! A delictable dessert.....not edible at all....has been prepared for your baby....has been prepared for you all. It is full of those items you will definately use....and some extras of items you won't want to lose." (Now the hostess will add a clue revealing where the item is hidden...ie: "Go to the kitchen and open the door that leads to the place where our food is stored." Hidden in the kitchen pantry will be a diaper cake loaded with all those little items mom and dad will need....but not neccesarily think of until baby is fussy at 2 am (gas drops, infant tylenol, teething gel, soothing bedtime lotion, extra pacifiers, extra batteries for the mobile and other baby items, tooth and gum cleaner, all those little neccesities that you can think of that will be used by mom and dad!!)

Item #3: Clue: "This final gift is one for the future....he (she) may write books or learn to tie sutures. A beginning of something that could grow into more, a gift of possibilites....of opening doors." (hostess adds a clue as to the location of this gift.....ie: "On the livingroom mantel there has been hidden an item that is attached to the visable ribbon." (the hostess could have ribbon that appears to just be shower decoration ribbon.....but is, in truth, ribbon cascading down the mantel (blue or pink?) that is actually attached to an envelope that is hidden behind something on the mantel like a picture frame.) What will be found is a savings bond that can be put towards baby's education or future, in general, that will be eligible for baby to cash in upon it's 18th birthday (or the like).

***This is just an idea of a scavenger hunt type of game. Make up your own poems/limericks. Have fun....this will be something truly different at the shower and a great way to gift items to the new mom and dad. IF there are people who couldn't attend the shower because they were otherwise engaged or lived too far away...see if they can maybe contribute some of these items!! Maybe Aunt Ethel and Uncle Gerald in Hobokin can put some money towards the savings bond.....cousin Randy can buy the CD of dad's favorite band's Greatest Hits...and Grandma Elouise can contribute towards the diaper cake!! A great way to have those absent in person....but present in spirit contribute to this celebration!!***

Anyone have any ideas for games for baby showers?

Pregnant w

I'm not having my baby shower until March, but I just wanted to get a head start on some game ideas, because I have no idea what to do for that part. So any suggestions would be great! (Also I'm having a girl if that helps any.)

Answer
Diaper Pin Game

Ingredients

Diaper Pins

To Play

As everyone arrives at the shower, pin a diaper pin to each person's lapel.

Throughout the entire shower, each time someone is caught crossing her legs, the person who catches this movement gets to take that pin and pin it on her own shirt.

If the person being caught has more than one pin, then all of her pins go to the person who catches her.

The winner is the person who has the most pins at the end of the shower.

Belly Bulge
To make the mother-to-be feel at home, ask the guests to come "pregnant," wearing maternity smocks stuffed with pillows.

Ingredients

Pillows

Gifts

To Play

At game time, have guests replace their pillows with gifts.

Mom-to-be must feel each "belly" and guess the gift underneath.

Runway Show
Design a maternity outfit that fits all of your friends pregnant or not. This is a photo worthy game that everyone can have fun with.

Ingredients

Large Sized Gift Bags

Baby Rattles

Balloons

Bows

Ribbons

Headbands

Paper Hearts

Plain Tee-Shirts

Fabric Markers

To Play

Fill the gift bags with all of the items above.

Divide guests into 4 teams, depending on how many guests you have.

Give each team a gift bag.

Each team decides who their model will be.

Then, team members dress their model in maternity gear.

Each model walks down a makeshift runway.

The guest of honor chooses a winner based on the best maternity look.

Baby Shower Bingo
Just like traditional bingo only with baby gifts. This is a great game to keep your guests interested (and not bored!) while the Mom to be opens gifts.

Ingredients

Blank Bingo Cards

Markers

To Play

Purchase or create blank bingo cards and ask your guests to fill in the blanks with the gifts they think the Mom-to-be will be getting

When the presents are opened, as the gifts are open each guest marks off their bingo card.

Whoever gets BINGO first, wins a prize.

Baby Bottle Bowling
A cute game for the mom to be and her closest friends.

Ingredients

10 Baby Bottles

Tennis Ball

Score Card with Each Guestâs Name

To Play

In a hallway or one part of the party room set up baby bottles in a triangular shape.

Each guest lines up and rolls the tennis ball at the bottles.

Players get one point for each baby bottle knocked over.

The person with the most points wins.

Baby Food Taste Test

See whoâs taste buds are mom ready!

Ingredients

8 Jars of Different Types of Baby Food

Tin Foil

Plastic Spoons

Paper Plates

Paper & Pencils

To Play

Cover the jars with foil and write a number on the side of each jar.

Pass out plastic spoons, paper plates, and paper and pencil for each player.

Ask players to write the numbers 1 through 8 around the outside of the plate.

Pass around each jar of baby food and have players drop a spoonful next to each number.

They must taste the globs and try to identify each flavor.

Remove the foil to reveal the answers. Whoever has the most correct answers wins a prize. You'll get some funny faces during the tasting so keep the camera handy!

Baby Business

What do I do with this thing? Is a common question when you have a newborn. Here is a way to find out.

Ingredients

10 Unidentifiable Baby Objects: Nasal Apsirator, Temperature Strip, Nursing Pads, Teething Ring, etc

Paper and Pencil

To Play

Place the objects in basket.

Distribute paper and pencil.

Ask players to guess what each object does.

The player with the most correct answers is the winner.

Present the basket of the objects to the Mom-to-be.

Guess Who?

Can you guess what your friends look like as babies? This is a funny game to test your knowledge.

Ingredients

Baby Pictures

Tape

Paper

To Play

Have the guests bring their baby pictures to the party.

Tape each picture to a sheet of paper.

Pass around the baby pictures and have players try to identify each baby.

For added fun, write crazy captions underneath the pictures, such as "Future President?" or "What are you lookin' at?"

Prizes

Picture Frame

Basket with Spa Items

Chocolates & Baby Food

Wildflower Seed Packets

Please Help...Gift ideas for mom?

Kylee's Mo

Last year i made my mom a poster with all of me, my brother and sister's pictures from our whole life on it. It said we love you supermom. She really loved it! But this year i have ran out of creative ideas. Im 17, my sister 13 and my brother 8. We have about 20-30 dollars to spend. Our parents are divorced and my dad refuses to help us out. HELP

Answer
The gift you gave your mom last year was incredibly thoughtful and sweet. Perhaps you could stick with the lovely theme and create a photo album or video for her this year. One of my mom's favorite birthday gifts was a video I made for her with pictures chronicling her life from the time she was born up to present-day, and last Christmas I made a video with my art work set to her favorite poem and she loved it too. I just used the Window Movie Maker software that came on my laptop, so it didn't cost me anything at all to make the videos, and it wasn't too complicated. There are free video editing software programs you can download if your computer doesn't already have one. If you have pictures on your computer it will be easy to import them to movie maker (or whatever program you'd use), and if they aren't already uploaded you could scan them onto your computer. Make a slideshow of the pictures and set it to songs your mom loves, then burn it to a dvd or upload it to YouTube. You can password-protect the video if you just want family members to be able to view it.

Other ideas:
~ If you have a lot of older family photos you could scan them onto your computer and upload them to a site like Photobucket or Flickr, then give the password to your extended family so everyone could view them. It may seem like a really simple gift, but I imagine your mom would really enjoy being able to share special pictures with other family members and friends, and it takes effort to scan all the photos in. If you don't have a scanner on your laptop you could scan the pictures inexpensively at Kinkos. Just be very careful handling any older pictures because they may be fragile, and don't put tape on them.
~ Make a photo album for her. You could buy an inexpensive album at an arts and crafts store like Jo-Ann Fabrics or Michael's and decorate it yourselves.
~ Many photo-sharing websites like Shutterfly and iPhoto allow you to create gifts like photo calendars, books, key chains, and even aprons and coasters with your pictures, and they're usually under $30.
http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/print-products.html
http://www.shutterfly.com/
Drugstores and other places with photo-printing services can usually make items with your pictures too.
~ Find a picture you love of you and your siblings and put it on a coffee mug with "We Love You, Supermom" so she can smile every morning when she uses it.
~ Make a special CD for her with songs she loves and ones that were popular the year she was born and graduated from high school. You can download the songs and burn them onto a disk for under $30.

If there is a special poem or quotes she loves you could add them to the slideshow video you decided to make one. Here's the one I did last year to give you an idea:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rCHEfrkD4Y
Windows Movie Maker made it simple to add the poem, transitions and music.

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas.

~ Peace : )
Good luck!

gift idea 2 year old girl ?

Fuzzy

what should i get for my friends 2 year old girl ? safe gift idea's ?
don't really know what kind of things she likes...

Answer
At 2 I would definitely say baby doll related toys. My daughters favorite toys in that age range was her baby doll stroller and shopping cart she would push them around everywhere.
For around $30 you can get a 3-in-1 stroller system that has a carseat and stroller just like her mommy probably uses. My daughter is now 4 and still plays with hers!

What shall I put in a time capsule?

Q. I'm making preparations for my families future... I'm just planning my first born (who is due in 2010) time capsule. I thought it would be easy to think of things to include.

This is what I've got up to now....

Coins/Money
Newspaper/Magazine
Letter from my partner and I
Baby photos of my partner and I when we was young
CD of our favourite music

Can you think of anything else I could add... something humorous maybe? My child will be opening this on their 21st Birthday... so I don't want them to think of this gift as lame. :)

Answer
First day cover - stamps. They issue these ever month or more and are available at your post office. The stamps today are cool. They will also increase in value.
If you look up your countries mint - regarding coin collections - here in Perth they have monthly issues of different coins that are valuable.
Do your fingerprints.
Lots of photo's.
A couple of your favourite movies - dvd's.
A docket from your weekly shopping to compair the change in price from now to then.
A sample of clothing.

The list is endless really and depends on how big your capsule will be.

Have fun

gift your mom something which she does not have.... also it should show your love towards her ....
whenever she looks at her gift should remember about you and should feel special about that gift....according to me you should go for some creative gift which shows that it was made specially for her like a a pendent which is made of single grain of rice ...with name or message written on it....
as women like jewellery a lot ... you will get it from http://etanro.com ..they have great designs with variety in colours ...also it wont cost you high ...as they are offering good discount for christmas ... i am sure that your mom will like your christmas present

Me and my sister want to buy our mom something special this christmas any good ideas?
Me and my sister want to buy a really special gift for our mom this year except the only problem is our budget is a little tight please help.

Answer
Hi

There are two ways you can approach this. First, you can give her the same traditional Christmas gifts that people always give their moms â like perfume, a bathrobe, or a kitchen gadget. Second, you can take the surprise route and give her something she wouldnât expect from you, but would love to receive!

There are some great ideas here:

http://www.squidoo.com/christmas-gift-for-mom

Letâs talk about traditional gifts for mom during the holidays. Moms love getting these types of presents because theyâre usually the kind of things that are easy for their loved ones to figure out for them.

Perfume is a great gift for mom, but instead of just buying a single fragrance, why not buy a gift set that includes the fragrance, plus some bath and body items to boot. Some perfume gift sets for mom even include luxury items like jewelry.

Bathrooms that are luxurious can help pamper mom after a long day at work (or home). You can find plush microfiber bathrobes that feel amazing, or stick to a terrycloth robe if thatâs what she prefers â just make sure you get the length right.

For the kitchen, some of the perfect gifts for mom this year will be programmable slow cookers where they can start dinner early and have it ready by the time their work is all done. A standing mixer is also a welcomed kitchen gadget for mom.

Now if you want to shock her by giving her a gift she wouldnât have even thought to ask for, but will really appreciate, why not go with a technical gadget that sheâd normally be buying for someone else?

For example, a portable vehicle GPS system wouldnât break the bank for you, but it would ensure mom never gets lost on the road. Is she a fitness buff? Get her a watch-based GPS fitness monitor made by Garmin. It not only tracks her workout and stats, but it makes sure that if sheâs hiking or biking somewhere, sheâll have maps to get her home safely.

Everyoneâs switching to HDTV and Blu Ray technology. Does mom have this yet? If not, why not upgrade her set so that she can watch all of her favorite shows in high definition. Give her a gift certificate so that she can order some of her favorite Blue Ray discs, too.

Gifts for mom donât have to be the same, old boring routine. But then again, maybe mom relies on traditional gifts because itâs when she expects them. Youâll have to make that tough decision, but at least now you have some ideas to run with.

Hope that helps

Take care

Paul

I would like to give them a gift that kinda connects my boyfriend, his brother, and the new baby boy but I'm not sure what to get. Any ideas at all would be appreciated! Thank you!

I need ideas for a baby gift?

Lisa A

I need a gift idea for a newborn/the parents.
And good/unique suggestions out there?
For the previous baby, I crocheted a full layette set for them myself. I can't do that again!

Answer
It is hard to find a baby gift that is unique, because most babies need similar items. However, you can always explore ways to personalize the baby gifts to impress the new parents.

mommy of a

I am a new parent and was just wondering what the best stocking stuffers and gifts would be for a 4 month old baby girl. She is a little over 3 months right now and is ahead in her mental and physical development. She already has the jumperoo, a nice swing and the bright starts playmat. She also has some hand toys. She loves colors and anything that she can look at, hold and put in her mouth :) She loves to "talk" and "stand".

does anyone know of any good baby shower gift for twin boys?
my sister in law is having twin boys and i am not sure on what to get her...also, i went to a baby shower one time and there was a lady who gave the mom to be a present every so often and each one had a tag on them with something to do with the gift in the box. i remember the first one i think it was something like..good morining mommy its time to wake up, and the gift inside was a baby moniter..its time to get me dressed mommy and it was clothes..has anyone ever heard of that? i need ideas on what too do please help! REMEMBER THEY ARE TWIN BOYS!
gosh..so i want to have some ideas on the thing where a give her a gift threwout the day...but i cant think of how to start it off..it starts of with, goodmorning mommy its time to wake up..what would i give her then?

Answer
Google a Diaper Cake (diapercake.com) to get a mental picture of what I am talking about here. There are many different types to look at.

Buy the diapers (two packs)
Baby pins (different colors to hold the together)
Small baby items (rattle, booties, nail clippers, pacifiers, etc)
Baby blankets (two-one for each)
Something special for the mother to put in top

Just fold and lay the diapers out and fasten together (you are going to fold long ways) - put baby blankets inside and whatever else you can come up with to stuff the diaper cake with. Roll it up so you have the bottom layer.

Put a diaper on top of the bottom layer to cover the inside surprises.

Top layer is smaller of course. Stuff with things for the mom to be.

Once you have it in two layers you can fasten the small baby things on with baby pins all around the cake in different places. Get some blue and yellow ribbon to finish the decorating.

For the very top of the cake get a yellow rubber ducky. Write a special note for the mom and place it on top in blue to set nest to the yellow ducky.

This will be a conversation piece of the party and the mom to be will have a wonderful time pulling out the contents.

Use your imagination when decorating. Get some family members to go in with you on this since the cost can rise having to stuff it. That is why I suggested two blankets for the bottom.

Good luck.

baby shower games gift?

S K

I am throwing a baby shower for my sis, and I am confused what to give to the game winners? we will be having 4 or 5 games at the shower. If someone has any ideas to what to give as a game winner gift???
All ideas are welcome.
Thanks.

Answer
For prizes consider Gift cards, candles, lotions,
Fill baby bottles with candy and add a ribbon.
Make cookies or brownies. A 6 - 8 per winning game.

Then there are baby shower specific ones like these which are fun and related to the event.
About to Hatch - Egg Timer
Heaven Scent - Baby Powder Candle (I love this one)
World's Gratest Mom - It's a Cheese Grater and there are more here
http://partygameideas.kateaspenshops.com/category/baby-shower-favors.html
This site is nice you can buy one or 50 items.

If you need some shower games, they have lots of do it yourself games. http://partygameideas.com/baby-shower/games-list.php
Good luck.
