Q. This is an individual I only know through work, but do not speak with very frequently. We do not spend time together outside of work but have known eachother for over 5 years.

Answer
You shouldn't spend that much money to a person you don't know that well. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't spend that much money on my OWN baby for a baby teether unless he/she really needs it.

Anyway, if you do give that as a present, your co worker might feel that she/he needs to repay you in the future. She/He might not feel comfortable around you.

Another present idea would be a gift basket filled with diapers, bottles, blankets, and pillows. These things can be bought at Walmart and Target really cheap.

What should I get as a push gift?

My wife just had our first baby earlier this month. I am looking to buy her a push gift for around $1000 to $2000. Right now I'm leaning towards a necklace at Tiffany's or a premium handbag, like Louis Vuitton.

What kind of push gifts have other moms here received? Any suggestions for other push gifts?

Answer
Did your wife hint to you about a "push" gift? I got a diamond/sapphire tennis bracelet after we had our daughter. I would love any jewelry or Vuitton bag...you know your wife best...which do you think she would prefer? Great ideas!!
