I am having a baby in the next couple of weeks; And I would like to make something special for my mom and dad, and also my boyfriends mom and dad. And also, if there was any cute ideas for step parents as well. I don't have alot of money to spend, this baby is already expensive! Haha, thank you all!

Do dogs from shelters make good pets?

I have been wanting a dog for a while and my mom keep saying I have to get one from a shelter. So I was wondering do most dogs from there make good pets?

Of course a dog from a shelter can make a great pet.
It also depends on how you treat and train the dog as well as the type of breed and the individual dogs personality.
Most have some basic obedience training.
For example, my sister's dog was from the Humane Society and already had training done on her when they got her. She is very sweet and listens well. She even knows how to put her toys away.
