cool gifts for baby and mom image

I'm not to into Mary Kay, Avon, having tupperware parties, etc. I don't like the idea of babysitting or starting up a day care. I would like to work online, if possible- but do not want to waste time taking surveys or getting scammed.
If anybody has some good advice on how to make money while taking care of my 1 year old, please let me know!
What are some of you stay at home moms doing to make money? Thanks!
Answer
I can give you ideas of having more money in the household, but you would probably poo foo them.
Cut the cable, it is unnecessary, and the child does not need TV stimulus anyway, or at least no more than 15 min a day.
Get rid of gadgets. I pods, TVs in other rooms, besides one.
Do not subscribe to magazines. Walk as much as you can and do not drive much.
Eat at home , but maybe once every two weeks, eat out.
Watch gift spending, no impulse shopping.
make sure what you buy for your baby is a need, not a desire, want, or to keep up with other mothers in the neighborhood. A $200 stroller is not needed. One that the car seat attaches to and goes from there is not needed.. You can get a basic car seat and stroller together cheaper than that fancy one.
Your child is one, do not impulse buy her clothes. If it is him, I am sorry.
Watch your cell phone plans. get the basics. Most now include free roaming and long distance. text and photo and Internet access is not needed.
If you go to the above parties, stop. Most of that can be bought in the same quality in the stores, for much less.
Make food from scratch, not premade. Even bread.
Make hubby lunches and breakfasts.
If you have to drive, plan errands around appointments.
Adjust your heating and cooling a few degrees.
Rent movies, do not go to the evening shows if going to one is a must.
You may already be doing much of this, but I have recently seen that most women, if their families would cut the wants and desires, don't have to work outside, or even at home.
Some has said , that they chose to have caregivers watch their children, so they can have cable, drive a SUV, get the big TV's.
Don't fall into that trap.
Your child is more precious than any material thing they could ever have, or you could ever have. Give up these extras, so you can stay at home, and give your attention, to your child who needs you.

Whats a really good first pregnancy baby shower gift?
Sorted Det
My cousin is having a baby girl! This is her first pregnancy, and she's fairly young, 21-23 years old. The pregnancy wasn't planned so I know there is going to be A LOT of things she'll need!
I was wondering if any mom's out there could help me out with the shower gift? I'm totally broke, but I'm sure I can scrounge up 40$ or so!
I live in another state and I want something that wont cost and arm and a leg to send.
<3<3<3 the help!

Does she have a name picked out? If so, how about a cute, personalized sign for the nursery that accents the décor? Personalized gifts are the most "unique" of all, and they are always treasured. They have cool ones under "Personalized Art" at: http://www.mysweetandsour.com/ The artist is a mom. I have two for my twins: "Safari Adventures" for Brayden and "Express Train" for Bryan. The smaller one is in your price range, and the they will ship directly for you. Done!
