Q. Why do nurture people believe that identical twins have different DNAs? I've met people who believe that identical twins are socialized into looking the same and their dnas are different. Why can't people open their eyes and see that genetics actually exist and that identical twins have identical dna.

This isn't the Ans, but just had to share my experience with my daughter, and her "birth-mom". We had adopted her as a 4-wk old baby who had been turned over to the Adoption Agency the moment after birth. When she was 24 yrs old, her Birth-Mom located her through sealed records, and asked her to come out to Berkeley to meet her and the family. My Daughter insisted that I go with her--something I didn't really want to do, because of my fear of losing her. But it was important to her that I did, so I went. And I was thankful that I did! From the very first moment, their humor, gestures and laughter were almost identical! But by the second week, the differences became apparent, also. My Daughter was a lot more stable, less "flighty". They had a six- years' long-distance relationship, when the B-Mom died of a compromised immune system, caused by a 10 yr addiction on cocaine. She had lived in Iran, exporting cocaine to the States. While my Daughter and I share not one gene in common, there is a bond between us that is strong. And I will be forever thankful to the Birth Mom for her "Gift"!
