I am going to do my baby gift registry this weekend and I want to get your opinions on the must-haves! What are your essentials? Are there any specific products that you have found to be superior to others? Please let me know Mommies.

BABY MONITER .... I dont know what they did in the olden days before those were invented...
AVENT BOTTLES......I dont know if you are going to bottle feed or not but the AVENT BOTTLES are the best I have used. The wide bottles are good for puting the formula in... it vents the air really well... the other vented bottles have like a million peices you have to clean.. this one is easy to clean and it heats up faster than my other bottles.
I got one for free at Babys R Us when i did my Registry.. I would buy more but they are so SPENDY! so I wish i would have registered for them. You can always take them back for store credit if it ends up you dont need bottles (some people just feed through the boob and thats it..good for them!)
SOUND MACHINE thing... i baught one that has Ocean sounds, womb sounds, Rain sounds, etc...
My baby sleeps soooooooooo good to her Ocean sounds... she use to not sleep well at all... but then i put that on and it has been awesome... you can always take it back though if it turns out that your baby HATES these sounds .. lol.
FINGERNAIL CLIPPERS...i really like the scissor shaped ones versus the regular nail clipper ones...the clipper ones are scary to me...)
BINKYS!!! can never have too many of those!
BUMBO! ...I hear nothing but good things about BUMBOS.. i dont have one because they are like 50 bucks.. but ive seen babys in them... and i wish i had one. it makes it so a little infant can sit up like a big boy/girl!
A SWING!! i dont know if thats too expensive to scan for your baby shower.. I got mine off craigslist.. I got two of them ?(one for up stairs one for down stairs) definetly a must!!!!! my baby loves it and takes naps in it all the time while i get my stuff done. but i turn the swinging off after about a half hour.
Bouncer!! I call it a vibrator.. cuz thats what it does.. but im sure the manufacterer did not want to call it a vibrator......... lol... anyways those things are awesome... I also got that off craigslist too.
SLING OR FRONT PACK.......wouldnt call it a must have...more like a nice to have....
um........cant think of anything else ...plus i gotta o .. DAYS OF OUR LIVES IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When do you start registering for baby registries?

I have been looking at baby items for some time now but I am not sure when I should start registering for my baby shower, family & friends.

I registered when I found out I was pregnant online at Wal Mart and Target and then around 18 weeks registered at Babies R Us because they give you a free gift pack of samples when you do and then when I found out the sex at 21 weeks went to Wal Mart and Target and finished the registries in the store.
