whats a good baby shower gift for a baby girl? My cousins wife is having a baby shower this weekend and I have no clue what to get them ( I'm a guy). Any Ideas?

My friends are having a baby girl in August and they keep dropping subtle hints that they want me to be the childs Godmother. What would be a meaningful gift that I can give to the child that she can love and cherish forever?

If you sew you could make her a special baby blanket or even a small quilt... if you give her a quilt, as she grows you can give her new pieces to add to it, once you get a couple new rows then you could teach her how to quilt. A quilt though needs to have special fabrics....as she grows. A music box engraved especially for her.... with her birth information on it... I hope this helps...
