Would this be a weird gift for my wife's birthday?

Jacob

3 months ago, she hands me the baby and says "I do not want to have any more kids." We've talked about it and she's pretty adament on not having anymore (we have 7). She says she's getting her tubes tied. She was talking to someone on the phone the other day and they suggested "why don't you make Jake get a vasectomy" and my wife said "He'd never go forth it." So her birthday is next month. How strange would it be to like get a vasectomy for a birthday? I ask because A) she says my gifts aren't "creative" enough and B) she always says I never think about her feelings first. And I'm not too cheap to get her a "real gift" before anyone goes there.

<<<< Tear in my eye.... Best gift ever! Peace of mind.....

I would be the happiest woman on earth if this was done for me and I would take it as a birthday gift no problem, it would be so hard for her to recover from her surgery with all them kids running around.

You should get her a card and put the documents inside and get some flowers.

how to give gifts to nurses?

Brit

is it through hospitals or can i give them personally......
i heard nurses are not supposed to accept gifts ???

Answer
When I was in the hospital for a surgery that I had to have after I misscarried my first baby at 13 weeks the nurse sat with me for hours and just let me cry and talk and cry and talk some more. The majority of her time spent was with me after she was off the clock and she even came back to visit me the next morning before I got dischgarged.

I asked for her name and address to send her a card and ended up sending her a big basket of stuff and some flowers and of course a thank you card.
We have become friends since then.

Otherwise I would just ask a doctor what the hospital policy is and slip her a gift quietly.
