How old was your baby when you stopped breastfeeding?

I am 14 weeks pregnant with my second baby and even though I didn't breastfeed my first one I think I am going to try it with this baby. I know that it is recommended to breastfeed for 12 months but I just wanted to hear some people's experiences. Thanks!

Well first off, congrats on being pregnant! It is truly a gift from god to have children...I have a 6 month old and I have been breastfeeding her the whole time on demand. Meaning when she eats, I'm here for her. I plan to breastfeed for as long as she wants too! If its a year or 2 years, I'm going too! I know that sounds like a long time but you will see what I mean once you get the hang of it...GOOD LUCK

What is a good sentimental item/gift that I could get my husband before his deployment next month?

My husband is leaving for Iraq 10 days after our first childs birth in late march/early april depending on when the baby arrives. What would be a good gift to get started on for him to bring with him- Its supposed to be a 12 month deployment.

Ok well this can be tuff being it will be a first child i would go with maybe like the the babies Footprint or something on like a pillow case something he can take with him and as time passes you can mail him new ones and see the baby grow. or if is into tattoos a tattoo of the babies hand with babies name family is everything over here im currently deployed in iraq little things like that mean the world.
