I am in the military and won't be home for Christmas what do you think are some good gift ideas for a mom?

You should buy something local. Not only does it help the place you are currently resting your head and bring goodwill, it will be something no other moms will get.
Take a picture of you buying it from a local merchant and include a note. It won't get there in time, but you will get the picture of you buying it there in time for sure.
Moms with sons in danger are extremely sentimental.

Q. I need gift ideas for my mom, dad, and 17 year old sister. Nothing too expensive, I don't want to get my sister clothes either. I especially need ideas for my dad! Thanks!

These are PERFECT -- I bought them for my family a few years ago and they have asked for them each year since. They are cute, unique useful and more importantly AFFORDABLE! They are having a sale for the holidays.
