People who with hold baby gift until baby is born?

Why would you say you have a gift, then a month after a baby shower say "I'm gonna give it to you but only when I meet the baby!"
That is exactly what a few of my co-workers have said, I find it odd that they are with holding gifts when the new mom needs to know what she still had to purchase prior to the baby's arrival. Trying to figure out the logic here because the new mom may very well not want a boat load of visitors in the first few weeks after giving birth, right? So... Is it being pushy of these people or "rude" of the mother to be annoyed?

A baby gift is just that - a gift. It's not an obligation. It's not something to hold a grudge over.

I agree that a new mom should not have a boatload of visitors in the first few weeks (or months) after giving birth, especially since the baby's immune system is vulnerable, and the mom is worn out. If they want to save their presents until they actually meet the baby, they may have to wait quite a while. If they don't want to wait, too bad.

- diary baby >>> mom can write every day about her baby.
- blanket >>> this is usually use until 2 years old
- pillows, a lot of cute pillows for baby,
- one set tools for baby food, for baby bath, or toy for new born baby
- rocker baby or baby car seat, its very helping,
- towel,
etc,..
