Try an Australian baby shop, the sites usually have '.com.au' as their domain name and most will let you buy from an overseas account to have it shipped somewhere in Australia.
If you use http://www.google.com.au/ it will let you select for Australian websites ONLY so a search for the gift you are looking at buying will give you a list of shops that ship to Australia that stock the item.
