What unique gifts should I put in my baby girl's Easter basket?

That one

I am going to put together my 19 month old daughter's Easter basket instead of buying one. I am going to put in lots of chocolate eggs and more kids of chocolate with The White rabbit stuffed animal from Alice in Wonderland. I was thinking of also including a book of something to do with bunnies. What else should I put in it? I want it to be unique.

Oh, and should I also include the fake grass? Do you think it's necessary for that easter feel? I really don't like when it gets everywhere and it doesn't really serve a purpose. Should I line the basket with something else?

Answer
I think the white rabbit is a good idea. And if you go to the store and look around, they should have a holiday section. Maybe you can find a book about the easter bunny. Another thing you can do is get a gift certificate to Build-a-Bear and put that in the basket, and then you can take her to build her own stuffed animal. And if she likes bath time, maybe you can get her some rubber duckies and bubble bath, too.

If she likes Disney Princess stuff, Barbie Disney princess dolls are available for each princess as well as Polly Pocket sized dolls, DVDs and CDs of movie music, princess fruit snacks, princess themed candy, Disney Store candy in cute containers plus a wide range of toys and games specific for each princess available on the Disney Store website, dress-up accessories, little books, tiaras, coloring books, puzzles, card games, stickers, and games for a PC or gameboy.

And also, if she likes flowers, its the perfect time for planting flowers. You can get a couple seed packets to put in her basket. Pick out a flower that is easy to take care of, because you're probably going to end up being the one to water it and stuff if its too hard for her. Yellow or pink is usually a good flower color for little girls. Or if she has a favorite color, find a flower that color.

I've always had the fake grass in my baskets, and now I use it in my son's basket. BUT, I don't think its absolutely necessary. One thing you can do, is you can try to find a small pink pillow. Maybe even one with her name or anitials on it. I know my sister got a pillow with an "S" on it one year, and she still has it 8 years later. That was pretty cool. Or you can stick to the duck and bunny theme and find a pillow with something Easter-ish on it.

Well, that's all I can think of. I hope that was helpful. :)

Newborn Baby Easter Basket Goody Help Needed!?

Sammi V

My sister is having a baby on April 23rd (C-section) and Ive been putting together a Easter Gift Basket for my niece...but I'm a little stuck right now.

I have the basket, lots of baby clothes and goodies, a little stuffed bunny...just cute stuff to fit in the basket.

I bought 6 bigger Easter eggs to put stuff in and I've only gotten 2 filled, one with 2 little pink nail polishes and one with tiny barrettes. What are some good ideas of other baby oriented things to put inside of eggs?! Or even something fun for mom or dad to open...I just can't think of anything!!

Answer
Because the baby is going to be just born, I wouldnt give too many little things unless they are for the parents, because the baby wont be able to play with any so small for several months.

Maybe instead of using all the eggs put some diapers in the basket, or a nice picture frame. Or if you really want to use the eggs maybe put a gift card to a baby store in one of them, or you could get your sister a cute "mom" necklace, they have some very cute inexpensive ones at walmart and target!
