.
If you've seen my question earlier, my Dad gave me $40 to spend on both of them. $20 each.
I was wondering if you can give your opinion on these gifts for both of them?
Mom -
$10 Nordstrom Coffee Gift Card (She LOVES it there)
Bath and Body Works Lotion (I know her favorite scent)
Dad -
$10 Coffee Bean Gift Card (He goes there every day)
A pack of baseball cards (He always collects them ever since he was a kid)
And then for both I plan on making them each a handmade Christmas Card in the shape of a reindeer since they always love to see my artistic handmade cards every holiday and birthday. ;)
And I was thinking of getting my dad a Bath and Body works lotion too, since he always gets dried hands and puts on lotion every day (he has a favorite scent as well). Or do you think that would be unfair having my dad get three gifts and my mom two?
Thank you!
Okay! I changed my mind on the lotion for my dad! Instead, I'll buy them one box of See's chocolate candies for them to share since they LOVE those! :D
That way, also, they will both have two seprerate gifts each, a box of chocolates to share, and each a reigndeer card! Yay! :D
@D -
YOU should have READ my last QUESTION earlier explaining my whole situation of my dad giving me money.
Sheesh. Calm down. ;)

Merry Christmas to you too. -.-
Answer
Hi, I think you should skip the lotion for your dad bc even though he has a favorite scent from Bath n Body works, to my knowledge everything from there has a feminine scent. He could just be saying he has a favorite scent from there to be nice or to relate to you and your mom.
Guys don't care when their hands are rough like we do and if it bothers them, they know what they can do about it, just rub some cooking oil on them or whatever. With that being said, her presents of Coffee card and Lotion and his of Coffee card and Baseball cards are perfect :)
Also, artwork is becoming a rare gift to give someone these days, so your reindeer cards will be appreciated.
Merry CHristmas
Edit: F off "D". If your dad woulda gave you money to buy him a X Mas present at that age, you woulda bought drugs with it, ya loser!

Please Help...Gift ideas for mom?
Kylee's Mo
Last year i made my mom a poster with all of me, my brother and sister's pictures from our whole life on it. It said we love you supermom. She really loved it! But this year i have ran out of creative ideas. Im 17, my sister 13 and my brother 8. We have about 20-30 dollars to spend. Our parents are divorced and my dad refuses to help us out. HELP
Answer
The gift you gave your mom last year was incredibly thoughtful and sweet. Perhaps you could stick with the lovely theme and create a photo album or video for her this year. One of my mom's favorite birthday gifts was a video I made for her with pictures chronicling her life from the time she was born up to present-day, and last Christmas I made a video with my art work set to her favorite poem and she loved it too. I just used the Window Movie Maker software that came on my laptop, so it didn't cost me anything at all to make the videos, and it wasn't too complicated. There are free video editing software programs you can download if your computer doesn't already have one. If you have pictures on your computer it will be easy to import them to movie maker (or whatever program you'd use), and if they aren't already uploaded you could scan them onto your computer. Make a slideshow of the pictures and set it to songs your mom loves, then burn it to a dvd or upload it to YouTube. You can password-protect the video if you just want family members to be able to view it.
Other ideas:
~ If you have a lot of older family photos you could scan them onto your computer and upload them to a site like Photobucket or Flickr, then give the password to your extended family so everyone could view them. It may seem like a really simple gift, but I imagine your mom would really enjoy being able to share special pictures with other family members and friends, and it takes effort to scan all the photos in. If you don't have a scanner on your laptop you could scan the pictures inexpensively at Kinkos. Just be very careful handling any older pictures because they may be fragile, and don't put tape on them.
~ Make a photo album for her. You could buy an inexpensive album at an arts and crafts store like Jo-Ann Fabrics or Michael's and decorate it yourselves.
~ Many photo-sharing websites like Shutterfly and iPhoto allow you to create gifts like photo calendars, books, key chains, and even aprons and coasters with your pictures, and they're usually under $30.

Drugstores and other places with photo-printing services can usually make items with your pictures too.
~ Find a picture you love of you and your siblings and put it on a coffee mug with "We Love You, Supermom" so she can smile every morning when she uses it.
~ Make a special CD for her with songs she loves and ones that were popular the year she was born and graduated from high school. You can download the songs and burn them onto a disk for under $30.
If there is a special poem or quotes she loves you could add them to the slideshow video you decided to make one. Here's the one I did last year to give you an idea:

Windows Movie Maker made it simple to add the poem, transitions and music.
I hope you all have a very merry Christmas.
~ Peace : )
Good luck!
