I am not expecting any gifts, my husband and I are on our own. I know babies grow fast. I don't want to buy to many but I also know that they'll wear more than one onsie in a day. How many do you suggest? I was thinking about getting ten onsies, one cute outfit and three sleepwear per size for the first year. Too much, not enough? Thank you! :)

Answer
I really didn't end up using all the onsies I got. They will want their feet covered, so I recommend footed sleepers. 2 a day, as much as you need to get the laundry done.

You may need a onsie for going out in hot weather, but our twins were almost always in footed sleepers, despite all the other clothes we had. A onsie doesn't keep them warm enough, and their feet get cold.

I really think for newborn and even for 0-3 you can get by just with footed sleepers. Really as few as 6 of each size. Just do laundry every couple days or so.

I bought for the whole year and don't regret it. I bought very cheap though at a local thrift store. I would recommend buying for the first 6 months, you may not have time later. But I really find sleepwear makes the most sense. A newborn sleeps about 20 hours a day, a 6 month old 15 hours a day. They sleep every couple of hours. Sleep is what they do. After 3 months they can regulate their temperature enough to use more onsies etc. but I really can't see putting a newborn down without a sleeper on. And for skin to skin contact, just have them wear a diaper only. Then put on the sleeper to lay them down for nap.

How to write an action/break in/murder scene (Srry if it's confusing)?

Bree

I am writing a story about these two twin sisters Arissa and Aubriel *Aubrey.* who are Gifted with psychic abilities and when they were 13 their mom and two sisters Hannah and Jessamine were killed by Rogues who are people using their Gifts for evil and destruction. Anyways, I am totally confused on how to write the scene. They break into their house and then kill both sisters and their mom and only Aubrey and Arissa and their brother Lucas survive. Any tips would be really great.

Thx!

Answer
Things you need to establish:

1. What was the Rogues' motivation in breaking in and killing these people? I.e., why this family vs. any other? Was it random or specific?
2. What was the family doing when the Rogues broke in? Were they expecting it or was it a total surprise? Did they offer any resistance?
3. How many Rogues participated in this attack? How did they kill the Mom and two sisters? Did they use traditional weapons or use the 'Gifts' you alluded to?
4. How did the twins and Lucas manage to survive? Were they hiding? Did they escape? Did the Rogues' powers somehow not work on them? What made the Rogues leave when three of them were still alive? Where did they escape to after the murders?
5. Describe the place where the twins' family lived and how the Rogues got in. Describe the time of day when this happened.
6. Explain whether their house was isolated or whether there were people nearby who would have heard the murders. If there were people around why didn't they help? What sort of society did this take place in? Is there a police force or some other protective group or is it everyone for himself?
