I have gifts from one family member who accidently purchased 20 NEOSURE cans instead of regular ones, and my baby is not premature. Should I add extra water like in formula than regular blue lid Similac? I am worry that my baby will be overweight if I use Neosure for him. Thanks.

Answer
its high calorie formula, use it if you want, or keep it on hand in case your baby doesnt gain weight well, or, even better, donate it to the nicu at your local hospital, other option is try to exchange it for something you will use

How can I induce labor naturally?

SuePayne

I already walk a lot daily. I'm curious as to some of the other ways women have used to induced labor. Also, if any doctors have opinions on how to naturally induce labor. I am already 36 weeks going on 37 weeks, so this is in no way a risk factor. I just don't particularly won't to be in the hospital giving birth on Christmas Day (of course, if I have to- I will). I'd like to be able to watch my two boys open their gifts.

Answer
there is always a risk factor when you try to induce labor on your own.. and before your due date!
the last couple weeks are the most important because the baby's lungs are maturing... would you really want to risk your baby getting pneumonia (whooping cough is going around btw) or other health problems just to watch the older 2 open gifts on Christmas?? seriously? if you go now, you might miss them anyway if they baby's stuck in NICU! even a week make a world of difference.
plus, you can walk 100000 miles, drink a quart of castor oil, stimulate your nipples and do everything in the book... but, if your body isn't ready.. cervix isn't soft and thinning yet, nothing will work... not even inducing labor at the hospital.

also, you're NOT considered "full term" at 37 weeks. you're considered "to term" at 38 weeks... which is different. "full term" would be 40 weeks.
