This coming valentine's day is our first valentine with our baby girl - she is 9 months old. Every 1st special holiday, I try to do something cute from our baby to my wife. (my wife loves that stuff).

I am having trouble thinking of something that is cute and clever (and not overly priced) that I can do that is "1st valentine from baby to mother"

If anyone has any nice ideas, please let me know!!

Drug stores usually have cute little gift sets this time of year, like a small teddy bear holding either a tiny box of chocolate or those hearts with messages on them. They don't cost much and a small bear would remind her of her little baby. I bet you could find a cute card To Mom as well. Also check Hallmark and see if they have anything with 'world's best Mom.' I'm sure she'll love it.

What are good gifts for a new mother...not the baby ..the mother.?

My sister is having a baby in November and I am planning her Christmas present now. I want to make HER a basket filled with things to celebrate her. I want to fill it with things she may not have been able to enjoy during her pregnancy. Such as A gift card for Coffee, Wine, a Spa day with a Hot Tub (she loves hot tubs and could not go in one on our last cruise) things like that! Any suggestions on a great gift for mommy? OF COURSE I am also going to spoil my new nephew as well!

Maybe you could make up a gift certificate for you to babysit so she and her husband can go out one night when the baby is a bit older.
(most likley she won't want to do this before 3 or 4 months).
