i dont want to give money like everyone else
thanks

Answer
Thats a tricky one.

for girls you can get, like jewlery with their name on it (bangle) or a necklace for when they are older, but for a boy, you could maby get:

- photo album that he can build up on in life
- like I got a serviet holder with my name on it
- my brother got a sterling silver mug / cup with his name on it.
- Candle

sorry some websites to help you:

I am going to a baby girl's baptism tomorrow. The ceremony is followed by a reception. I am not the godmother or good friends with the parents, just coworkers, should i bring a gift?

Answer
Nah, just show up, bring your congratulations and if you feel particularly moved, you might send a card of congratulations to the parents. (in the mail of course, polite adults do not hand over cards in person that say exactly what they are saying anyway. And send it before the ceremony)

The ideas of a bible are sweet, however, I don't think she'll be able to read it yet. Why not save that one for her Confirmation or other event in a few years, when she will properly appreciate the specialness of such a gift?
