What (Personalised/special) gift should I get for a babies christening? (No Toys or Clothes!)?

I want to get a nice, thoughtful gift for the baby but not clothes or toys as the baby has many of these!!

Something unique like naming a star after the baby (most include a photo of your star, certificates, or you can usually get a teddy bear holding a star aswell) or you can get beautiful satin (in pink or blue) signature bear for everyone at the ceremony to sign, or personalised candles with a photo of the baby printed on it with a cross and the date etc. All available online!

is it the norm to get a gift for the godparents of your baby at the baptism?

Its not the usual thing to do but there is no reason why you can't if you want too as it has been done.
